It’s time for the January 2014 Edition of “I’m Totally Trying It”! I totally love doing these because I know I have to actually do / try all these things and report back on them or I have to tell everyone I didn’t do them which makes me feel like a loser ;(. In case you are new here, this is how it works – I pick a few things, try them for a month or so and then report back. Here’s what I am giving a go this time:
~Valentine’s Day Ribbon Wreath. I’ve made wreaths for like every holiday except Valentine’s Day, so it’s time. I am hoping we (I am bringing my mom into this craft with me) can find a heart shaped wreath and maybe some chevron and some polka dot ribbons for this? Sounds cute!
~Drink More Water. Less soda, more water (and more Spark). Why can’t this be as easy as it sounds?
~Spelling it Like It Is. I want to read more this year, but I need a more specific goal than just “read more”, so I am going to try to pick a book every month to read. As you can see, I am starting it off fairly light ;). I have loved all her other books so hopefully I love this one too.
~DIY Ruffle Scarf. Okay, so this is suppose to be super easy. Like 5 minutes easy. We’ll just see about that. I do want to make it an infinity scarf instead of just a scarf, so that could take a little longer.
~Coupon More! I have been so bad at using using coupons lately. So bad. And I actually like figuring out the deals and using coupons so I don’t know what my problem is. It’s on this month though!
That’s what I’m trying this month! What about you? Anything new you are trying this month? I am throwing a link-up in here just in case anyone is interested. I figure on the 31st, we can all check back in with a blog post with our thoughts.
I have drink more water, in my 14 IN 14 post! I NEED to start!
I’m planning to make a Valentine’s Day wreath, as well! I pinned a bunch of inspirations on Pinterest…now I just have to decide which wreath to make. 😉
I always have trouble deciding! Too many good options!
I just finished the Tori Spelling book. I read it in two days & I have a newborn 🙂 You can do it! No excuses 😉 …It was a super easy read!
Lol!!! I like having a newborn! They cuddle right up and then you can snuggle and read!
I love to “not so extreme” coupon. Target is always fun to coupon at especially now with the cartwheel added in. You can get stuff for a great price! Always better than paying full price for stuff!
I’m so bad at using cartwheel! I need to
Improve that!
You can join Gooreads, get suggestions for books from the kind you like, and also set up a goal for amount of books to read for the year. I have been a member for a few years and I always find myself checking how far behind I am in my goal and then looking for books to read.
Ohhh I’d fail so hard at that. Anything that involves specific numbers gets me! I have a few new books here and if I can get through those in the next few months I’ll be happy!
I want to read that Tori book. I’ve loved all of hers so far. I’ll need to add that one to my list. Drink more water is on my to do when I get back from Disney. Not only will it be good for me but not buying all the soda will help in the money challenge. If you can’t find ribbon you could use paper. My friend made me a wreath like that for Christmas and she curled some scrapbooking paper she had cut into strips. I love love love it.
I’ll send you mine when I am done if you want! Ohh, that is a good idea with the paper! My mom is going to be in charge of the ribbon part, so we’ll see what she comes up with!
I just finished reading the Tori book.. took me two days. I don’t think it was quite as good as her others, but I still enjoyed it. Not sure why but just love her. Maybe Dean’s recent slip up will give her something for her next book!
I like her a lot too!! She seems quite real, even for growing up how she did!
I want to read Tori’s book too, I love how candid she is in them!
Me too!
I finished Tori’s book yesterday. I’m not a huge fan of hers, but I love her books! She seems real and down-to-Earth. (As down-to-Earth as one can be when they’re the daughter of Aaron Spelling.) 😉 They’re quick, fun reads and this one didn’t disappoint!
I am starting it tonight!!!
