One of the many subscription boxes to arrive over the weekend was my (well WB’s) January 2014 Googaro Box!

If you aren’t familiar, Googaro is a monthly subscription box for babies 0-3 years of age.  Each month Googaro sends selects mom-approved items for you and baby straight to your door. You’ll receive some of their favorite finds including toys, books, snacks, and household products.

The Box

Googaro ships via USPS Priority Mail.  It took the normal two days to arrive and always ships in just about the same sized box.

First Look

I knew I’d seen some January Googaro boxes, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember what was in them.  Unlike most months when the shipments are spread out, January is a little different because it seems like all the boxes are arriving at the same time!

The Information Card

As you can see, Googaro has a great information card which I love.  While they don’t have a monthly theme, they list product details and prices and include pictures.  Here is what the January box, for 1-2 year-old included:

~Melissa & Doug Butterfly Stacker ($9.99): We have quite a few stackers so I thought WB would just kind of bypass this, but he sat and stacked and unstacked quite a few times.  I think it’s because it’s got two pegs and the pieces need to go through two pegs to stack right?  It makes it a totally different toy.

~Bumkins Snack Bag ($4.95):  We can’t go anywhere without a snack so yeah, we go through a ton of snack containers.  These are machine washable and dishwasher safe too, which is awesome.

~Bumkins Junior Bib ($9.95): I could use about a dozen of these.  I love that they are waterproof because sometimes things get a little messy around here.  Like when there is anything involving a spoon.  Or something liquid.

~Earth Mama Angel Baby Bath Wash ($9.95):  I love the smell of this wash and love that it’s a foaming wash.  I don’t really know why, but it’s much more fun.

~Bizzy Bear – Fun on the Farm ($6.29): You know, I’m not sure if WB is going to be able to destroy this one.  He’s super rough on books, but this one is going to be tough for even him.

~Sneaqz Organic Milk Shake ($2):  I used to be able to sneak these into WB and then for a while he would push them away.  It’s been a minute, so I plan to try to sneak one of these into him tomorrow morning.  We will see ;).

All totaled I came up with a value of $43.13 for the January 2014 Googaro box! I loved this box and think this was one of my favorite months from them. Did you get a Googaro box this month?  What’d you think?  And if you got a different age group box (they do 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years), what was in it?

If you are interested in learning more or signing up, click here.  Googaro starts at $35/month and now through January 26th, they are offering one box free with a three month subscription with the promotion code “ONEFREE“!  I’ve never seen a code like this from them, so take advantage while you can!

E received the same box as WB only her bib and snack bag were in girl colors. I was surprised to get one this month since I bought her a gift membership and thought our last box should have been December but I was pretty happy with the box! She loves taking apart the stackers but lets me put them back together for her :).

I wonder if it auto enrolled you? Or if you just got a special treat???

      1. Genevieve

Not auto enrolled, checked the site and my card. Just figuring they sent one free with the 3 month subscription? Totally thrilled regardless!

I tried this box a few times after I read one of your earlier reviews and finally signed up for a longer subscription. Perhaps it’s just me but I feel as though there is a higher value to this box compared to some of the others and I’ve been very pleased with the products sent as well as their customer service. Only problem is I don’t love it enough to cancel my other subscriptions!

It does cost more, but I would agree!

Is this the 1-2 age box? Is it worth going up a little in age for this company? My child is 1.5 yrs…should I move her up to age 2-3 range?

    1. Jennifer

This is the 1-2 year old box. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in ages in this one.

Also, do you know if I can use the onefree coupon code in addition to the refer a friend $10 code? If so, please send me a referral- you get $10, as well. 🙂

    1. Jennifer

I do not believe you can combine! I *think* the $10 refer a friend would send you a code to use too so it won’t stack. It would have been amazing if it had though!

the coupon code said expired 🙁

    1. Jennifer

Yeah, it expired last month ;(. I mentioned it in the post it was only valid through 1/26. It was a good deal while it lasted!
