Ahh, finally! The boxes are rolling in! Happily, it’s going to be a fun box week around here and I love it! One of today’s boxes was the Kelly Rowland Fancy Box!
And just in case you aren’t familiar, the Fancy has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Coco Rocha, Tyler Florence or Pink (not sure if this one still exists?). They also offer a Fancy Food Box.
Fancy Box ships via FedEx and yep, takes two days to arrive to me. I was kind of stalking my FedEx guy today and was pleased to see this pink box appear.
The first look was, umm, bright! I didn’t get a chance to look for spoilers of this box online, so I was going in blind (and then was blinded by the neon)!
This month’s information cards are nothing different than normal. Sometimes the celebrity curated boxes will have the celebrities pictures on the back, but these just have a little note from Kelly Rowland (maybe?) saying why she likes them. Here are the details:
~Coke Can Glasses (Set of 4) ($18): I don’t know that I would buy these on my own, but I will totally use them. In the Coke vs. Pepsi wars though, I gotta say, I am a Pepsi fan. I really should kick this nasty habit once and for all though. It’s no good.
~Unisex Cuffed Beanie by America Apparel ($20): Oh my! This is bright! So so bright. I think I still have the orange one that came a while back in the JLH Fancy Box, so either B and I can wear them to a neon party or I can find a hunter to give this too. LOL! I don’t think I cam make this work.
~Pipe Earphone w/ mic by Aiaiai ($40): No matter how many pairs of earphones I have, it’s never enough. Never. I am actually going to out these in my bag so I KNOW where this pair is. And if I forget, this pos will remind me ;).
~Fred Flare Roller Notes Sticky Roll ($14): I for sure love these! I will totally use them and I already have them in my office. I can always use sticky notes and these are even cuter than normal ones!
All totaled I came up with a value of $92 for the January 2014 Kelly Rowland Fancy Box. While I enjoyed this box, I am thinking of mixing it up and going back with the Coco Rocha one for next month! Or maybe even Ashton Kutcher since I have never tried that one? Thoughts?

I’d LOVE to have it. I had the orange one from the JLH Box but my hubby needed it one coooold day and cut 2 holes in it to make it a mask! I coulda killed him! It’s really a great beanie!

Oh! I got a purple beanie (which I love bc it’s my favorite color) and instead of the coke glasses, I got a Fancy water bottle. I guess I would have liked both. I think I will use everything in the box, but it didn’t have the usual “wow” factor that I’ve gotten used to from Fancy. I didn’t like the last Kelly box either. Think I’ll give it one more shot and then maybe cancel it heh. Coco Rocha is still my favorite right now I think!
Ohh, a purple beanie sounds doable! Someone else said that they got that Fancy water bottle this month too. I bet I didn’t get that because I received it ages ago in a regular Fancy Box I think? I know I have one. They must be tracking that?

I saw another review of this box and she got lomography film in addition to everything you have. So maybe you should find out if you are missing an item.

I don’t know if I’m a huge fan…I mean I loved (well, would love if I got it!) the box where she had the mini camera, but the skull ice bowl and shot glasses threw me off, and now this box isn’t super exciting either. I think I’d be excited over the postit roll, but seriously not worth it for just that…
My husband wanted to use that skull ice bucket on Christmas Eve for our family party. I was like well, I don’t think it’s the kind of party for that?…

I wonder about the Fred Flare roller notes. Fred Flare closed down so it is interesting that they would include this in the box. I wonder if you will be able to get refills once this runs out. I love the idea of the roller note though.

Those glasses are super cute, but you can find them a lot cheaper. We bought a set for my mom (she’s a Coke collector) from The Christmas Tree Shop for 99 cents each.

Those roller notes are so fun!! We got the black AIAIAI headphones in our regular Fancy Box last month. You and B should totally get decked out in neon and have a party. Maybe I’m just feeling inspired from Monday’s Bachelor episode…

Does anyone know why they canceled the P!NK Fancy Box??? And do you think Kelly’s Box will be similar to P!NKs so that I could just switch boxes??
I have no idea. I would love to know though! I only got P!NK’s a few times, so I am not sure how similar they would be. Hers always seemed to be pretty edgy!
I’m still waiting for my box to arrive. It’s taken them a little bit longer to get to me.
Did you ever figure out how to get the film from the December box into the camera from the November box. I’m having the worst luck.
It’s only been a couple of months with this box and I think I want to switch to one of the other fancy boxes. But I love Kelly Rowland. Hopefully it gets better.
I still haven’t! Where are you going to get it developed? That;s my main fear is that I will take all these pictures and then what to do with it?
