My February 2014 bluum box arrived today and I was quite excited to see it sitting there waiting for me!
If you aren’t familiar with them, bluum is a monthly subscription for babies and children up to 5 years of age. It’s $24.95/month and each box contains a five or more hand picked-selection of essential products for you and your baby / toddler / preschooler and is customized based on child’s age, gender and developmental stage.
bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and was delayed a bit this month because of the crazy weather. It typically arrives more towards mid-month than the end of the month, but it made it here safely, so I am happy.
B was here when bluum arrived and watched me open it. He doesn’t see “the process” of opening / taking pictures / etc. much and I think he gets a kick out of it. I thought the first look for this one was great and was excited to see what else was in there.
bluum sends out boxes which include products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage and no longer do a “themed” box. Products in the monthly boxes still change from month to month, so if you are expecting a 26 Month-Old (we have WB aged up) box next month it will likely be different. Here is what our February bluum box included:
~Busy Day Press and Play Sound Book ($12.84): This book was a big hit around here today and WB was all about pressing the buttons and pointing out the different pictures. I am not sure how sturdy the actual book part is, so we are going to have to be careful not to destroy that (WB is a tad rough on books).
~Wellements Baby Tiny Voices ($11.99): I am not familiar with this product, but I think I will give it a try next time L is sick. He gets lots of upper respiratory “stuff” and could probably benefit from this more than WB would.
~Weleda Baby Calendula Weather Protection Cream ($13): OMG, I was just looking for some of this over the weekend. I knew I had gotten one before (maybe from bluum even), but I couldn’t find it. This is seriously perfect timing because WB’s cheeks and chin are so red and bothered right now!
~Manhattan Toy Stuffed Frog ($12.99): We have lots of stuffed animals, but WB is happy to get more and likes to snuggle with these kind of guys in the car.
~Baby ECOS Stain and Odor Remover (~$2): We can always use more sprays like this around here and this one headed to my car. Whatever was in there that was making it smell seems to be gone, but I’d like to hurry it on it’s way.
All totaled I came up with a value of $52.82 for the February 2014 bluum box. As always, it was beyond $24.95/month cost of the box. I think I have been getting fabulous bluum boxes lately (some of my earlier ones were pretty snack heavy) and I hope the trend continues!
