Dottiebox Mini, who kindly sent me this box to review, is everything that you love about Dottiebox in a smaller package! For $13 a month ($10 box + $3 shipping) you will typically get 2-3 handmade products plus coupons. They also offer their original Dottiebox which contains 4-5 items for $26/month.

The Box

Dottiebox Mini ships via USPS First Class and took just a few days to arrive. It’s probably  one of the smaller boxes I receive, but one of the cutest.

First Look

I usually have a general idea of what to expect from Dottiebox, but I never know exactly what it’s going to be.  Their items are usually packed in some of the most adorable packaging because they are from individual vendors.

The Information Card

As always, I love Dottiebox Mini’s information card.  It’s mini, just like the box itself, but still packs all the information you need from an information card.  The February 2014 Dottiebox Mini includes the following great products for to celebrate life and love, including the following:

~Tulips Apothecary ‘Red Hot” Lip Tint Pot ($4): I may not love the scent of this lip tint, but the color is great and it felt great when I put it on.  The shop has tons of other flavors as well, which I may just have to check out.

~Oak Street Soap & Candles Champagne Sugar Scrub ($3.25): Oh, this smells fabulous and I am looking forward to using it again. It’s a scrub plus bar soap in one which is kind of the best of both worlds since I sometimes find scooping scrub out of a jar to be messy.

~Geometric Siren Lucky Penny Keychain ($8): Adorable! Sometimes you need a little luck on your side and with this I will always have it.

All totaled, the February 2014 Dottiebox Mini had a value of about $15.25, which is slightly over the $13 cost of the box.  Plus, had you purchases these items individually, you would have had to pay shipping on them.  As always, I love the idea of discovering new etsy and other small businesses every month.  Sometimes I get on etsy and don’t even know where to begin, so this helps!

I love the concept of this box – discovering new handmade designers is so much fun. I just wish there was a slightly higher value to the boxes which would push me to really want to subscribe!

I tend to agree but then again shipping would tack on some money so the value is probably really more than it seems.
