OMG, yay! My February 2014 ipsy bag is here. I almost couldn’t believe it when I checked the tracking and saw that it was out for delivery today. If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products.
ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail and it sped here this month! I was quite impressed. It took 6 days to get from NC to MI, which does not seem fast, but seriously, it was.
ipsy releases the contents of their Glam bags on the 10th of the month and of course I had peeked, but I was excited to get my bag just the same so I could check out the color various. And hopefully you can see inside the bag, but it’s a fun float print.
The February 2014 ipsy My Glam theme is “The Look of Love” and is sending goodies you will fall in love with at first sight this month. They don’t include a true information card with your products listed on it like some of the other boxes do. That information can all be found in your account. ipsy sends out bag variations, via “ipsymatch”, which is based on the preferences you enter when you take the ipsy quiz. There were 15 difference products this month and I believe each bag got 5 products, so your guess on how many variations were included is as good as mine! Here’s what was included:
~The ipsy bag: Nothing really unique about this bag, but I like it just fine. I will for sure use it in my purse to organize things.
~Pop Beauty Plump Pout Mini (Peony Petal) ($16): I love this color and think that this was a perfect fit for me. Sometimes I’m not sure that the ipsy match works for me, but it did here!
~Zoya Nail Polish (Odette) ($9): Perhaps not a color I’d pick for myself, but I think it’s seasonal and quite pretty. And I do love Zoya polishes, so it’s a win. Pretty much any lip glosses or polishes I will like.
~Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base in One (Ambrosia) ($18): At first I thought this was a lip gloss, but nope, it’s a shadow which makes it even cooler. I like how it goes on and couldn’t be more pleased with the color selection on this one.
~skyn ICELAND Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud ($6.50): I haven’t gotten a chance to test this yet, but I am thinking maybe tomorrow night? I have no Valentine’s Day plans (B has school), so this might be fun to save for then. You are supposed to see results right away which would be awesome if it’s true.
~J. Cat Beauty Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue ($3.99): If I never receive another pair of eyelashes again, it will be too soon. I *think* I may eventually wear them, but I never actually do wear them. They will be passed along to a friend.
~Bonus Gift: Benefit High Beam ($26): This month’s bonus gift (which takes 1000 points aka 4 referrals or a ton of reviews to redeem) a Benefit High Beam. To tell yo the truth I thought it was going to be a mini one. Not even. It’s a full size and I was thrilled. Love this stuff!
All totaled I came up with a value of $53.49 (and that does not even include the cost of the High Beam) for the February 2014 ipsy My Glam Bag! Seriously how do they do it? Even if I don’t love everything in the bag, I still totally totally worth that $10/month for me.
