Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Today I’m smiling because:

My Grandma’s funeral is today so I wasn’t going to do Saturday Smiles, but she’d totally think that was crazy because there is always something to smile about, including the fact that we will all be together today to celebrate her! Here is what else I am smiling about:

~L is going to get to see his favorite cousin up-north today and hopefully they’ll get a few minutes of sledding in!

~I got the most amazing surprise package in the mail yesterday from Jenny over at Love My Randomness! Personalized Disney cups AND planner goodies? Ahh! Totally made my crazy day a little brighter!

So thoughtful!
So thoughtful!

~JT was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Enough said.

~WB, although not feeling totally amazing, can still crack me up in seconds. Never a dull moment with this guy.

~B is off work on Monday so (hopefully) I will get a chance to get a few things caught up from this unexpectedly crazy week.

~I received an amazing and thoughtful RAK this week and now need to step up my game for my next RAK’s!  I also need to figure out how we can get some RAK(*)’s going around here.

Amazing right?
Amazing right?

~I am smiling because Terri S. Quinn won the Valentine’s Day Giveaway!  And Gail Lake won the Peach Dish Giveaway!  Congrats ladies!  And don’t forget, the next giveaway is coming quite soon (only like 70 more FB likes until 4,000)!!!

~I found these guys at Target this week!  So good!

Try them!
Try them!

That’s it from here!  What’s got you smiling today?

I am so sorry about your grandma. 🙁

I saw Carrot Cake M&Ms the other day at Walmart! Bleh!

    1. Jennifer

      Thank you!

And carrot cake?? Not sure I would love those!

WB is so cute! Love his PJs. I’m glad your family got to be together for the funeral. I sometimes find funerals are sweet occasions because you just feel the love so much–for the person who left and for those you still have.

I always think about how much the person whose funeral it is would have enjoyed the event. You know, just having everyone they loved in one place like that!!

I would love to participate in RAK on here if you figure out a way to do it!!! Love that idea!!

I’m also looking for those M&M’s… I’m on a mission to find them!

    1. Jennifer

I found them at Target (of course). I am thinking of ways!

I totally agree with Stacie about finding the good around you and things to smile about despite the loss of your grandmother.

I bought the milk chocolate Mega M&Ms at CVS. I saw the peanut version at Target too but I don’t know that I need a giant bag chillin’ out at my house right now. LoL! The ones I bought at CVS were regular sized M&M packages; maybe I can find them in the peanut version too.

I tried to stay up for JT on Jimmy Fallon on Friday night but didn’t make it. That’s where DVR came to my rescue! I watched it yesterday and it was amazing, as expected. 🙂

I’ve been trying to do some RAK around my part of the universe. It’s such a great feeling. Pinterest has helped spark some interesting ideas. Just this past week I left 2 $1.00 lottery tickets in the front of a shopping cart at the grocery store. The best part was that I saw the woman who grabbed my cart. Words can’t describe it! I was trying to spy without looking too obvious while I watched her. I have no idea if she won any money but it was awesome.

LOVE that idea about the lottery tickets! I am going to work on that around here too!

I am sorry for your loss. You remembering her and you pushing through to write made me smile, it inspired me.
