It’s time for another Thursday Thoughts! If you want to participate, but have no idea what a link-up is, you can check out my explanation of it here.
~Sad news here. My Grandma (the one up-north) passed away yesterday. She was fabulous (seriously I can’t think of one person who ever had anything bad to say about her) and will be missed. We are still working out plans to head up there (the weather’s a mess, WB’s sick, B’s got school, etc.) so forgive me if things are a little crazy around here the next few days. Up-north just will never be the same without her ;(.
~Did anyone else watch the Ladies Figure skating last night? It is by far my favorite event and it did not disappoint. I actually watched part of it live yesterday afternoon and was captivated. I think the little girl in me still wants to be a figure skating (despite not being able to skate and being old enough to be most of those girls mom’s).
~Yesterday may just have been one of the biggest mail days ever around here. We didn’t get mail Sunday or Monday (President’s Day) and then my mail man never appeared yesterday (WTF), so when I grabbed the giant bin off the porch yesterday afternoon it was stuffed. Had I not been half asleep still (I took a nap while WB took a nap and it was amazing) I would have taken a picture. I received: Citrus Lane, Kiwi Crate, Dottiebox, Lip Factory, Julep Cupid’s Mystery Box, Barkbox, My Birchbox and Project DIY. I am still expecting: The Bride Box, BikeLoot, Yuzen, Loot Crate and I am guessing at least one or two more I am forgetting about.
~Has anyone gotten a chance to watch Jimmy Fallon since he’s take over the Tonight Show? I am kind of loving it! And for the record, I thought that the edible cereal bowl was a good idea. LOL! I can’t believe no one has inventor that yet.
~Have I mentioned that WB has learned to climb out of his crib? Really WB? So far he’s only done it once, but I fear that this is going to become a regular event and I am dreading it. L had to switch over to a big boy bed when he was just about WB’s age now, but I was hoping to stretch it out a bit long with WB!! Now when we tell him it’s bedtime he points to the bottom bunk in L’s room. It’s only a matter of time I suppose.
~I still never updated my “I’m Totally Trying in January“, but don’t think I have forgotten about it. I need to make that scarf and then I will get the details on that posted. That may work out better as an every other month kind of thing. I clearly cannot handle them monthly.
~So I got our Disney packet and e-mail telling me I need to pick out my MagicBand and start getting everything all set up. I used to think I was a planner, but Disney is proving me otherwise. I don’t know what day we are doing what yet, much less what days I want to ride on things! It appears that I need to get working on not only dining reservations, but also ride FastPass stuff as I hear this is the way to go. So much pre-planning for this!
What’s going on for your Thursday? Do you have any weekend plans? Let me know and of course, link-up!
So sorry to hear about your grandma. I will keep you family in my thoughts and prayers.
Can I say how random it is that both of our USPS didn’t deliver on Tuesday. That is beyond random since we are nowhere near each other and as I said they then came 3 times yesterday. LOL
Luckily neither N or C were ones to climb out of the crib. They both only did it once so I was lucky but I did move them both out of the crib into a bed in their rooms at about 28months or so. The nursery has always had a double bed in it so they just moved into that once they asked and all was good. Now they want to sleep together some days but they are on different times so doesn’t work out great yet plus the fact that N is a cuddler and C wants his own space. I’m waiting for when they ask for bunkbeds. I’m sure it will be coming soon.
Thank you!
I am sure the bunk beds will come soon. Once they realize how fun it will be, it will be all you hear about!
So sorry to hear about your grandmother. Hope you all have safe travels and better weather soon!
Thank you!

Thank you!
I’m so sorry about your grandma!! For once I do actually have plans for this weekend! My best friend is coming over on Friday and we’re spending the day together! We’re going to go shopping together and meet my boyfriend at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner! Neither my boyfriend nor I have ever been! She’s never been to our apartment before and we moved here in Feb 2013. Better late than never I suppose! She’s also planning to spend the night which is awesome because we’ve never had a sleepover together! I’m also really excited to show her my stockpile! I love my coupons!
That sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy!
I am so sorry about your Grandmother. I will praying for you and you family.
Thank you!
I’m very sorry to hear about your grandmother. Thinking of your family in this time of need. I also wanted to let you know that we went to Disney in June 2012 and we did the dining plan (well worth it) but I was overwhelmed with where to eat & when. I called Disney and they helped me pick out different places to eat. I told them that I had 2 boys and their ages and they gave me suggestions & they cld set up reservations for us when online I was being told that it was full. I would call them and see if they can help you. We knew some places that we wanted to go and she helped me reserve those places. We LOVED Chef Mickeys & The Whispering Canyon Cafe. There was also a place @ the Animal Kingdom Park that we had breakfast & it was a buffet & it was the best breakfast we had the whole time we were there. I can’t remember the name but I will try and find it. It did have all the characters there too. The breakfast spread was amazing!! I hope this helps and will find out the name of the place we ate at. The Whispering Canyon Cafe is a great place to eat dinner. My husband & I both got steak (I think our oldest son did too). But the bill was over $100 and we didn’t pay for any of it because it was with the dining plan. The place puts on a small show. If you ask for ketchup the waitress will yell “they need ketchup!” & everyone gets up from their tables & brings u their ketchup. It’s very entertaining & all the guests get involved & my kids loved it and they were 10 & 7. They give you a lot of food & it’s southern food. The cornbread was amazing. I wanted sweet tea & they brought over this HUGE mason jar over (seriously I didn’t need a refill). We also ate at the Tea Party place & we were not impressed with the food and it’s very small in there and you don’t have a lot of room to move. We really enjoyed our time there. I hope you all do to. We stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort. It was very nice but far from everything. Even our room was far away from the main desk & their restaurant & cafe. It was right next to The Animal Kingdom & it was beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend staying there. I hope this is helpful!!! Good luck & have a great time!!
Thank you!
We stayed at Coronado a few times and always liked the layout of it.
I have a generalsort of idea of where we want to eat, but there are just too many options and not enough days!
I know how you feel! Too much to do & too little time. Keep us posted on what your plan is & how things go!
Never enough time!!
I am sorry to hear about your grandma.
I hope the weather chills out a little for your drive.
Thank you!
The place that we had breakfast at The Animal Kingdom was called The Tusker House. If you get a chance to I would highly recommend this place. When we do go back we will be eating here and at The Whispering Canyon Cafe. Have fun!
Those are on my list to check out! Thanks!
I’m so sorry to hear about your Grandma.
Thank you!
Sorry to hear about the loss of your G-Ma. True that Up North will never be the same, just think of the memories you will share about her! Peace to your family – may you find joy in the little things that WB and L do that remind you of her!
Thank you for your kind words.
I’m very sorry about your grandmother. 🙁 I have been watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, I missed last night but he posts the main points on YouTube. I love Jimmy so much. I think he is such a good looking man! Haha. Tonight is his weekly hash tags and I submitted one. Maybe my tweet will make it on national television!
Thank you!
I hope it makes it on there too! That would be so fun!
So sorry to hear about your Grandma.
Thank you!
My condolences to you and your family for the loss of your grandma.
Thank you!
I’m so sorry about your grandmother. I hope everything works out okay for you and your family with juggling life, weather and trying to get up north. I know we’re supposed to be hammered with snow again, and I’m guessing this system might be heading your way too, but hopefully, it’ll peter out, or head south instead.
Thank you! It’s a bit of a mess out today, but I think it will settle down tomorrow!
I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. My Grandma and Grandpa are sorely missed and I am so sad they never got to meet my daughter. You must be so glad she was able to meet your two delicious boys!
Thank you! She loved my boys so much and they thought she was amazing too!
I’m so sorry for your loss. 🙁
Thank you!
I am sorry to hear about your grandma

Sorry to hear about your grandma.
Thank you!
I’m so sorry for your loss. I bet your Grandma was a wonderful lady. I lost my Granny two years ago and am reminded of her in so many things I do and see. Hugs to you and your family.
Thank you!
I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother.
Thank you!
So sorry – Grandparents are a hard thing to loose. And the older you are when they go the worse I think it is. I used to tell my mom that my grandmother loved me more than her because that’s what grandma’s do. They get to enjoy grandkids way more than their own kids.
E has tried to get out of the crib but she’s such a shortie I don’t think I have to worry about that for a while. Of course I say that now and tomorrow morning I’ll find her next to my bed.
They do get to enjoy them so much! And my Grandma had great-grand kids to enjoy as well which she loved!
So sorry about your grandma. 🙁 I’ve lost all my grandparents and totally feel the void. You are forgiven of any craziness! But of course you don’t need our forgiveness. 🙂 Hope you guys get it all figured out and get some time as a family.
Thank you!
I sorry to hear about your grandmother. I’ll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
My little one just turned two, and she started climbing out of her crib a few months ago. We were so afraid she would hurt herself, so went ahead and converted to a toddler bed. (We have a convertible lifetime crib, so eventually will become a full size bed.) She started out really well, and stayed in the toddler bed. But now, she frequently climbs out, and I’ll hear her up there playing, but eventually goes to sleep. I just try to make sure there’s nothing in her room that could cause an injury.
Thank you!
I know it’s only a matter of time before we’ll need to switch him! I am dreading it though. He’s going to be all over the place in his room!
I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother
Thank you.
So very sorry for your loss. She sounded like a wonderful grandma.
She was. Thank you!
Sorry to hear about your Grandma, but she is in a better place. <3
Thank you!
