Box South, who kindly sent me these goodies, will send you a curated box filled with 5 – 8 of the best artisan foods from the American South every month.  I did a review on their first ever box back in January (they went by the name House + Marche back then), however, they didn’t offer a true monthly subscription service at that time.  They are now offering a monthly box for $52/month with the first box shipping in April.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek (and taste) of the following item which will be in the April box:

~Shotwell Candy Co. “Old Fashioned Cocktail Caramels” ($9.75): These buttery soft caramels are infused with aromatic bitters, Kentucky bourbon whiskey and orange extract and are delicious!  They have a salted caramel one as well which I bet is even more amazing.  Their caramels are made in Memphis, TN and are meant as a special treat when you need a little something sweet.

Box South also sent me a French Broad Chocolates Dark Chocolate Bar ($6.75), which was equally delicious.  This won’t be in the April box, but it’s from an artisan that may eventually appear in a box somewhere down the road!

That’s funny! I live in Memphis, and I’ve never heard of the caramel company. I’m going to have to search them out!
