My March 2014 Mama’s Got Mail, who kindly sent me this box to review, arrived over the weekend.  See, I told you it was a good weekend!  Every month when I get the shipping notification on this one I start to get excited and try to figure out what this month’s theme is going to be.  Shannon, the Mama behind Mama’s Got Mail curates some of the most amazing boxes so I know whatever is in it is going to be fun.

If you aren’t familiar, the idea behind Mama’s Got Mail is to help you feel encouraged and supported as a mom so that you can be the best woman you can be. Previous boxes have included items ranging from bath products to books to crafts to jewelry to coffee.  You never know what will be in the box, but you always know that it will be all about making time for YOU!

The Box

Mama’s Got Mail ships via USPS Priority Mail.  It always comes in the first half of the month and never has any delays, damaged items, missing items, etc.  The customer service is great as well.

When I reached in to grab out the package, I assumed it was a book and thought really?  Because we have gotten books the last two months.  But I would soon find out I was wrong!

The Information Card

The March 2014 Mama’s Got Mail theme is “Your Strengths” and is intended to remind you of your strengths.  The contents focus on your physical health (with Pilates) and the check-in covers Mental, Emotional & Physical strength.  Here is what was included:

~Restore Strong Core & Back Kit from Gaiam ($14.98): Was I not just talking about how I need something to help with posture and my back?  I cannot wait to try this.  And I like even more that the workouts are only 10 minutes long because I have a short attention span.

~Double the Fun Headband by Zella ($10): Ohhh, I tried this out right away and loved it.  I didn’t get a headache either, which is one of my main issues with headbands.  I need to try wearing it all day though and see what happens though.  I also want to mention that this came sealed in it’s original packaging so there is no need to worry that someone tried it on before you or anything like that!

~Kind Bar ($2): Kind bars are growing on me so I was oddly excited to see this snack included in the box.  And I think it was the perfect compliment to the rest of the items in here.

All totaled, I came up with a value of about $27  for the physical items in the March 2014 Mama’s Got Mail Box.  As always, I can’t put a price tag on the workshop part of the box.  This month’s personal self check-in (the worksheet portion) is all about “Your Strengths” and focusing on the times and places and things that make you feel your strongest.  The “assignment” if you will, is to carve out a time when you can recreate some of the conditions that make you feel your strongest.  Maybe it’s a clean house, maybe it’s after an amazing workout?  Maybe it’s after you’ve checked off your to do list.  Whatever it is, the goal is to work on it this month.
