Today I’m smiling because:
~L spent the night at his Nana and Papa’s house last night and is off to have a fun day with them today! He hasn’t spent the night there in ages so this was long overdue.
~Since my packages and subscription boxes didn’t arrive yesterday (don’t even get me started as there was no reason for this), I am expecting a fabulous pile of mail today!!
~My uncle, who had his second major heart surgery in the last year this week, is doing AMAZING and should be headed home in the next few days!
~Having B home every night (plus his day off and that snow day he got) for dinner this week has been nothing short of amazing. The kids loved it, I loved it and it makes me even more excited for summer now.
~I got a ton accomplished this week. Â Lots of errands I have been avoiding have been handled, my e-mail box is (sort of) clean and I am just about up to date on subscription box reviews!
~Michigan State won their first game in the Big Ten Tournament last night! Â Oh, and is anyone up for a Tournament Challenge?? Â I can create a group on ESPN so we can do our picks and see who is doing awesome and who isn’t (me). Â I’ll probably do some random giveaways in there too!
~Michigan just legalized the Bring Your Own Wine law!!! Â I am hoping lots of places participate because I think it’s a great idea.
~WB has been in an amazing mood all week and I think we are on a teething break for awhile! Â Also, B gave him a haircut and I love it!

there are a lot of BYOB places here in Chicago, and it’s really fun once in a while to have a glass of wine with dinner and not drop another $15. I do tip a bit more when I bring my own, though.
There are some BYOB wine and painting studios popping up too. I haven’t tried, but maybe it would improve my (lack of) fine arts skills?
We did one of those BYOB painting places! I think it does improve your skills!
I loved the challenge last year- so much fun! I hope you do it again :)!
I’d love to do the challenge. I so wish Charleston had places to do the BYOW – that would be awesome! Or maybe we do have those places & I’m out of the loop? Could go either way! 🙂
They just changed the law here! Hopefully you have the option soon!
I’m up for a challenge. I actually watched a little ACC tourney fun on the ship this week. You can always find other locals when watching your team play 🙂 Also such close NCState games made for lots of drinks and fun.
I love that part of vacations! It’s like instant friends!
