SundaySentiments

You know the drill, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight.

~Happy Sunday!  This weekend has actually felt nice and long and I appreciate that!  B took the boys out for breakfast this morning, so I even got some all alone in the house time in.  I love that and love that they go out every Sunday!

~Has anyone tried the app “Lose It” iPhone app?  They were talking about it on the Today Show today and it looks really cool.  Kind of like MyFitnessPal, but I think I like the layout on this one better.

~I finally bought some new sheets today (at Target of course) and I believe it is the first time in at least 10 years that I have bought printed sheets.  It actually may even be longer than that.  I just do not buy printed sheets.  Always solid colors.  Always.  But I branched out and am feeling quite good about it.  I am still on the hunt (and have been for ages) for a new duvet, but I just can’t make up my mind.  Where do you shop for stuff like that?  Maybe I need some fresh ideas?

~I am planning on picking the first (random) winner for the Bracket Challenge tomorrow!!  I will post on here who it was and also in the discussion section of the bracket challenge.  I can’t figure out everyone’s names on there, so make sure to check in there (or here) tomorrow!!!  Also, some of you guys are killing it with your brackets.  Mine is so busted it’s not even funny.  But some of you are doing awesome!!  And I am just loving the games and the upsets!  As long as my Spartans keep winning (last night was a little too close for comfort), I am a happy girl.

~Has anyone ever tried these “Perfect Fit Meals“?  We have them at our new Kroger so I picked a few up to try.  They aren’t cheap, but they are healthy and SO convenient.  And they take one minute to make.  No, seriously.

~I didn’t do a New Additions to the Subscription Box List post today because I only know of a handful  of new ones.  I will probably wait until next Sunday when I know of a few more.  Oh and the 3-Month PopSugar Giveaway ends tonight, so if you haven’t entered or want to get a few more of the entry options in, don’t forget!

~Someone needs to take my iPhone away because not only am I addicted to Candy Crush, I am also hooked on stupid Farm Heros too.  Ahhhhhh. Why do I get sucked into this? Why can’t I stop???

That’s about it from here tonight! What are your plans for tonight?

I recommend the LoseIt app. I used MyFitnessPal for awhile before switching. I even tracked with both for about a week or so to determine which one I liked best. I agree the layout if LoseIt is better.

I am intrigued by those Perfect Fit meals. I wonder if they have them here. How much they and what section of store were they found? Is it just one serving?

    1. Jennifer

They were in the produce area. Like an on end cap thing. They are one serving!

LOL Farm Heros is way better then Candy Crush of course I play them both on my phone and laptop.
My bracket is so whack there is no help. So many upsets and way too close games this season.

    1. Jennifer

I am so addicted. It needs to stop!

Farm Heroes is SO addicting! Have you gotten to the point they include the rotten fruit yet? I’ve stayed up WAAAY too late trying to beat those levels.

    1. Jennifer

      No, not yet!

We bought our duvet at Macy’s, I think. We love it! Those fit meals sound like exactly what I need! I am terrible at making real meals since having a baby, but I hate eating processed junk. We don’t have Kroger here, though. My latest iPhone addiction is QuizUp–have you played it? SO addictive. I seriously can’t stop. Not to add to your addictions or anything… 🙂

You should check and see if a store by you carries them!

Ugh. Now I will have to look it up. It’ll be your fault when I get hooked.

      1. Bethany

Haha okay. I’ll accept the full blame.

Not sure if you’ve checked there, but h&m online (which ships to the US now!) has a nice home section with some really cute duvets, although it’s a little hit or miss. Also urbanoutfitters has some pretty ones.

    1. Jennifer

Oh, I didn’t even think to look there. We have a few H&M’s around here, but none have home stuff!

      1. erica

I don’t think any H&Ms have home stuff in-store–just online!

          I need to look!!!

Our duvet is from West Elm, this one http://www.westelm.com/products/organic-cotton-pin-tuck-duvet-cover-and-shams-b340/?cm_src=AutoRel but green, and I LOVE how it looks, but a lot the cute pintucks have ripped. Like, glancing at our room it looks fine, but if you look up close some the stitches have ripped. Just from sitting on the bed when it’s made. But they do have some cute ikat and chevron patterned ones with no fancy stitching to rip! I am thinking I might replace ours as a birthday present to myself or something.

    1. Jennifer

OMG I had that exact same one in white. And while I LOVED it, my dogs and kids did a number on those pin tucks!

I think the Calvin Klein selections are so beautiful! We have three duvets from them that we swap out… but picking new linens is a lot of pressure!

    1. Jennifer

Ohh, I used to get CK bedding when I was younger. I always did love it. It’s just so expensive.

March Madness has completely taken over my house. It’s on the TV, ESPN pops up when I open up the lap top, and I’m hearing a lot of, “Oh shoot!” and “Come on, come on, come on!” haha. I can’t believe how well my bracket is doing for not knowing much about college basketball…this is also really upsetting to my hubby who has 5 different brackets going on.

    1. Jennifer

Ha!! I can imagine he isn’t too thrilled. I am so into March Madness!!!

I tried Lose It, but actually like My Fitness Pal better. Think it’s just personal preference and everyone needs to pick the one they’re most comfortable with!

I picked up a nice comforter at Kohl’s during their Black Friday sale. Is that the same thing as a duvet? And I like striped sheets, as it helps when making the bed. I tend to go for easy when it comes to linens! *L*

My bracket is a hot mess. So many of my “sure picks” have been eliminated that it’s not even funny. Good thing I didn’t enter any of the pay brackets! 🙁

    1. Jennifer

A duvet is what you put a down comforter in. Like a big pillowcase for your comforter!

I also just got a duvet from H&M online and I love it! They are a lot cheaper than all the others I looked at and the quality seems great to me.

    1. Jennifer

      Cool!! Thanks!

For duvets try Overstock.com and Bed Bath and Beyond. Because we leave the drapes open for the cats during the day, our duvets fade quickly so we get inexpensive ones. I think one of the ones we currently have came from Pottery Barn on sale in the store. We also have a wonderful faux fur one we got at a ridiculous price at Bed Bath and Beyond years ago (it was on clearance and we had a 20% off and it cost us under $50 for a King size!). We are always on the lookout for good duvets covers (since I change them with the seasons 🙂

    Love the Lose It app.

    1. Jennifer

Overstock! I always forget to look there. I am always in need of a new duvet. Between the dogs and the kids, they just don’t last like they used too.

  12. Caitlin

I love the West Elm duvet covers! It’s hard to find nice ones, and I was on the hunt for a very long time before I discovered them. Check out their site!

    1. Jennifer

Oh I love the West Elm ones too! I just don’t want to spend that much. We seem to destroy them way too fast!
