I was shocked to find my April 2014 bluum box on my porch after lunch today. I wasn’t expecting it to come today and I wasn’t expecting the mail to come so early either.

The Box

bluum ships vai FedEx Smart Post. I received my shipping notification on the 18th and the box arrived just 4 days later. It wasn’t scheduled to arrive until Thursday, so that is why it was so surprising.

First Look

The contents of the box basically sprung out at me when I opened it up!  LOL.  bluum always uses the same sized boxes, so some months your box is more packing materials than products.  It all just depends on the size of the items.

The Information Card

bluum sends out boxes which include products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage and no longer do a “themed” box.  Products in the monthly boxes still change from month to month, so if you are expecting a 28 Month-Old (we have WB aged up) box next month it will likely be different.  You never know what you are going to get with bluum and it keeps me intrigued! Here is what our April 2014 bluum box included:

~BeginAgain Pusharound – Dog ($13): This is adorable, but it might be a little young for WB?  Not that he wouldn’t play with it, because he totally would, but I think I will pass this on to a friend who just had a baby.

~Child’s Play Helping Hands – Cook It ($5.99): I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a book.  WB LOVES to help cook (L does too) so this is awesome.

~Klorane – Dry Shampoo ($19.50): I had seen other people getting this in their bluum boxes this month and was like please please please let me get it too!  And I did!  Yes! I love dry shampoo and this stuff is fabulous.  Do I want to pay for it myself?  No.  I buy the cheap stuff.  But I will happily enjoy this!

~Crocodile Creek Placemat – Robots ($4): Once I figure out how to get his to lay flat on the table we’ll probably use it for play-doh and crafting.  Any ideas on how to do this?  Maybe just some of that reusable tacky stuff?

~Jack N’ Jill Natural Calendula Toothpaste ($5.85): Although odd, WB does love brushing his teeth so this might be his favorite item in the entire box.  And I think it’s very useful and saves me a trip to the store.

All totaled I came up with a value of $48.34 for the April 2014 bluum box.  As always, it was beyond $24.95/month cost of the box and I am just going to take a guess that if you like dry shampoo like I do, you are pretty happy this month!
