Artistry Gift Wrap, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends you an exciting monthly box filled with fun papers, bows, ribbons and more, which will be delivered to your door. Each month a different artist or designer or type of specialty gift wrap will be featured in their ‘surprise’ boxes, which will also be available for purchase in their shop.

First Look

Artistry Gift Wrap sends such a variety of paper patterns and styles that I never know exactly what to expect. And this month was no exception.  I opened up the package and still had no idea!

The Information Card

The May 2014 Artistry Gift Wrap theme was “Eco-Friendly” and included the following items:

~Edens Paper (Tomato Wrapping Paper & Sunflower Wrapping Paper) ($21): This is the coolest wrapping paper ever.   After the wrapping paper is used, you can PLANT it and it will grow tomatoes or sunflowers or whatever the print on the paper is!  How cool is that?   The seeds are embedded in-between several layers of very fine tissue paper.  The paper will begin to biodegrade as soon as it is planted and does not at all damage the eco-system.  I love this!  Is it wrong that I want to gift it to myself because I am dying to see how it works?  Maybe I will keep one and gift one. That seems fair.

~Manila Hemp Twine ($6): Instead of ribbon on your eco-paper, you would of course use twine!  I would include a little note on the gift tag explaining how the paper works and attach it with this twine as well.

All totaled I came up with a value of $27 for the May 2014 Artistry Gift Wrap.  The box is $24.98/month and while it’s just a few dollars more than the cost of the box, I have no idea where you would pick up this paper without them.
