May 2014 Barkbox

I seriously had the best mail weekend. One of the many boxes that arrived was my (well Baxter and Buddy’s) May 2014 Barkbox!

If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs! Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout, head product tester for BarkBox. We’ve been getting for nearly two years and are always quite happy with it.

The Box

Barkbox ships via DHL Glocal Mail and took just five days to arrive this month. Not bad at all if you ask me.

First Look

Everything looked great in the first look.  I had a guess on the theme of the box, but wasn’t totally sure yet!

The Information Card

The May 2014 Barkbox celebrates healthy, but still delicious eating and is inspired by find from Barkbox’s favorite green markets.  My guess was a farmer’s market theme, so I was pretty close!  Here is what the box included:

~P.L.A.Y. Carrot Toy ($8.07):  SO cute!  It’s squeaky and is made with the same standards as infant and children’s toys.  I actually wouldn’t be surprised if WB tries to steal this away to play pretend with.

~Caitec Amazing Knobble Ball ($3.99): Well, WB has stolen this away!  I think the kids have played with it more then the dogs. It’s a pretty cool ball so I don’t even blame them for wanting to play with it.  There is a hole in this and inside is a soft squeaker, which the dogs cannot figure out where is coming from.  The kids get it though ;).

Caitec Amazing Knobble Ball

~Snicky Snaks (Apple Cobbler) (~$9.99): These are made from 100% organic, non-GMO ingredients.  The dogs haven’t tried them yet, but if they don’t like them my brother’s dogs will happily eat them.

~Plato Organic Chicken Dog Treats ($8.99): The dogs got these in a box last week as well, but they LOVE them!  They aren’t super soft like they normally like but they must taste fabulous because the boys cannot get enough of them.

~Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick ($2.50): In keeping with tradition, we got another Barkworthies Bully Stick!  We seriously get one every month.  I give them to the boys every other month so they each get one at the same time, but they still fight over them like crazy because they love them so much.

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $33.54 for the May 2014 Barkbox!  We all loved this box and I thought the toys this month were adorable!  And everything fit very well with the theme, which I always appreciate because I know how difficult it must be.

Do you subscribe to BarkBox?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here. A monthly subscription is $29/month, but if you opt for a longer subscription, the price drops as low as $18/month (that’s what I get)!  And you can use the code “RAMBLING” save 15% off ANY subscription plan which would make it an even better deal!
