Beauty Box 5
Cost: $12/month.
Ships To: The lower 48 United States and Canada via the Postal Service.
My May 2014 Beauty Box 5 was one of the many boxes I received on this rainy Monday. It is a monthly subscription service that delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between! Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription, however, I subscribed a while back when they had an insane deal that brought the cost of an annual subscription down to $6.58/month. No way could I pass that up.
Beauty Box 5 ships via DHL Global Mail. It starts out in DHL’s hands and is then delivered by USPS. I got my shipping e-mail, but it didn’t contain a tracking number (it never does), so I am not 100% sure about how long it takes to arrive.
The first look wasn’t overly exciting. I was hoping there were some other goodies hiding under there.
The May 2014 Beauty Box 5 includes the following pretty pick-me-ups which were designed to get you back in the game:
~Masker Aide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask ($5.99): This mask isn’t messy which I like. It provides hydration and I can always see the immediate effects of a mask, but I’m never sure if I can tell any difference the next day.
~H2O Aqualibrium Marine Cleansing Gel ($1.20): I thought this cleanser worked well, but the sample was very small. I like my samples to last about a week so I can see if there is a difference happening. It will work nicely of traveling though.
~Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths ($0.87): Not overly exciting, but useful I suppose. I will throw them in my purse.
~Harvey Prince Hello (~$2): I LOVE this scent! I actually pretty much love all of his scents and wouldn’t mind some sort of holiday sampler with all of them in it!
~Cattiva Precisione Eye Liner ($20): As you know I am not a huge eyeliner fan, so this will end up being traded or gifted. I do like that it’s a brand I have never heard of!
All totaled I came up with a value of $30.06 for the May 2014 Beauty Box 5. I was just meh on this month. Since I only paid like $6, I feel like I got my money’s worth between the mask, the cleanser and the perfume. And I will find a home for the eyeliner, but I wasn’t wowed this month.
Do you subscribe to Beauty Box 5? What’d you get in your box this month? I know there were some variations, but I am not exactly sure what they all were. If you are interested in subscribing or want to check out more, click here.
