FAIR Treasure
Cost: $35/month
Ships To: United States.
Fair Treasure, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.
FAIR Treasure ships via USPS and always takes just a few days to arrive to me. It always arrives on time and perfectly packaged and I have never wondered “where is that box anyway”, like I have with tons of other boxes.
Ohh, I couldn’t wait to see what that brightly colored item was!
The May 2014 FAIR Treasure box is the “May Day Box” and includes items to help you step out fashionably and with a good conscious! Here is what was included:
~Handmade Expressions Eco Shopping Bag: This bag is hand stitched by a group or artisans in northwest India. This is totally something I would pick up in a market if I spotted it.
~World Finds Sterling Silver Earrings: These earrings are crafted by a group of local artisans in Bali, Indonesia! WorldFinds pays them a livable wage, provides safe working conditions, access to healthcare and childcare and also on-going training and education. I really like these earrings and think they have just the right around of dangle without being too much of a temptation for WB to rip out of my ears!
I couldn’t find any prices for the items in this month’s box, so I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on it. But I was very pleased with this month and thought the bag was amazing and like nothing they had ever done before!

Did they really use such a big box for a shopping bag and a pair of earrings, or is that just trick photography? I like the idea of that box though, seems like it’d be a good present for my boyfriend’s mom!
No, the box is actually fairly small. It just looks big. It could fit in a breadbox.
