My October 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box has finally made it’s appearance. I think it’s fair to say that PopSugar has had a mess on their hands with billing / shipping this month. As I am sure you will recall, they shut down their website last month for about a week (which is a LONG time) while they did some upgrades and they have been having issues ever since. If you’ve been on their Facebook you’ll know you aren’t the only one who is annoyed. In addition to boxes being delayed this month and I know people have been having issues with being charged for a box when they should have gotten it free from referrals. I have my fingers crossed they they will be back on track in November and we’ll see a holiday box from them soon! ETA: The Neiman Marcus PopSugar Must Have box is available NOW!
If you aren’t familiar with them, PopSugar Must Have Box is an exciting monthly box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
PopSugar ships via FedEx Smart Post and, once shipped, my box took the normal week to arrive. They typically ship during the beginning of the month (back when they first started though they shipped later on in the month) and promise to ship by the 15th of the month, however, this month was later than that. I received an e-mail on the 15th saying that my box would be delayed and that I would receive a shipping notification within a week. That shipping notification has yet to arrive, however, I did receive my box. If you want to know how to track your box, I’ll explain it at the end of this post.
We got spoilers on this box weeks ago, so I knew exactly what was coming. If I am not mistaken there was only one item that has variations this month. But, as usual, it’s still fun to get the box in your hands and actually see everything. And I will say, I did forget about all the issues as I was opening the box up.
The October 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box was inspired by Tricks & Treats, Cat Eyes, Moonlight, Getting Cozy and Pumpkin Spice. Here is what was included:
~Happy Socks Animal Socks ($12): These are super fun and will be perfect for the freezing weather we are soon to be having. Who am I kidding? It’s freezing here now!
~butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil Crayon (Earl Grey) ($18): Meh. I am just not an eyeliner fan. I do love butter LONDON nail polishes though. I’ll pass this along to a friend to enjoy.
~Isaac Jacobs International Acrylic Frame ($36): Now this is cool. It’s a magnetic picture frame. There are two separate blocks of glass that you can pull apart, stick a picture in between and then display. I don’t get a ton of picture frames in subscription boxes (I think I have maybe gotten one or two in all the years I have been getting boxes), so this is awesome. It’s going in my office with a picture of my boys.
~Mine Design Chalkboard Candle ($24): Honestly PopSugar could send me a candle every month and I would be happy. It smells good and you can write whatever you want on it since the container is made from chalkboard. Super cool!
~Dean & DeLuca Pumpkin Spice Maltballs ($5.50): These are better than I expected. The pumpkin flavor is subtle and the chocolate is amazing. I would get more of these!
~Nailed Kit Halloween Decals ($8): Nailed Kit actually has a monthly subscription box which I have received in the past. Their decals are always fun and are easy to use. I am really happy these arrived before Halloween. I hope that people who don’t receive them by Halloween get a special gift or a non-holiday set of decals from PopSugar!

~K. Hall Designs Shea Butter / Olive Oil Bar Soap ($10): This smells good and will be happily used by B! The soap was actually a sponsored item by Progresso. The box also included information on a giveaway for a wardrobe makeover and 1-year subscription to PopSugar that Progresso is currently hosting.
~The Blue Jean Bar Blue Jean Box $40 Gift Code: I forgot to take a picture of this, but it’s a $40 code for a Blue Jean Jar box. It’s a clothing subscription box and I have been wanting to give them a try, so I might take advantage of this one.
All totaled I came up with a value of $113.50 for the October 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box. It certainly wasn’t my favorite box from them, but it wasn’t my least favorite either. With the exception of the eyeliner, I will use every single item in the box. I really liked the variety of items they included this month. It reminded me of some of their older boxes that didn’t have that one larger item we’ve been seeing lately.

My box hasn’t come yet. However, I was able to use your directions for Fedex Delivery Manager and my box shipped today and should be here on Wednesday. The way they handled this situation is completely ridiculous, but at least my box has finally shipped.
I saw the Neiman Marcus box is up on their website, but at $250, I don’t think I’ll be ordering this one.
FedEx Delivery Manager is the best. At least you know it’s on it’s way, but yeah, it’s been a mess this month.

Picture frame
The socks! Also, I tried the backdoor tracking yesterday and nothing. Then today I get an email from Popsugar that my box shipped and when I checked tracking…it was out for delivery! So weird but happy to be getting it today!
I know. The backdoor tracking isn’t working this month! You look in the Delivery Manager though.
Strangely I liked the soap the most simply because I am confused what progresso has to do with the soap.
I think they just provided the soap to PopSugar to include in the box for free? And in exchange they got free advertising?

It depends on if they still have October boxes or if your subscription will start with November. I just checked the website and it looks like it would start with October, so they would likely ship it in the next week or two I would assume. And then you’d get November right on schedule with everyone else.

Thanks for the updates on the October box. I too never received any emails about shipping issues from PopSugar or Lisa Sugar or my tracking info and emailed several times. Since I have subbed and canceled and re sub again I wanted to make sure I was on their email list and that I would receive the October box. Hopefully I will get tracking info and box this week. I am attending a Halloween Party this Friday at a winery and wanted to use the Halloween nail decals.

It will only show up in USPS when it’s gotten to your local Post Office, so there is hope it’s on it’s way still!
I received an email from Lisa Sugar and Team tonight and my box will arrive Thursday, 10/30, yaa!!!!! And my account is current and no kinks, I appreciate the email and the kind gesture from their office. A learning curve for the company and they stepped up to the plate to accommodate their subscribers.

So I finally, today the 30th, got my October Popsugar Box. I was one of those that had their CC info totally scrambled and kept getting the “your account isn’t working” emails without it ever telling me what wasn’t working. And I never got any response to my emails to them except for one I sent Monday when they told me they were “expedite shipping” my box (it came Fed Ex).
I got all the standard stuff you did. I suppose I could rush do my nails with the Halloween stickers tonight, but I’ll probably just save them for next year.
All in all, it wasn’t a bad box, not my favorite but I will use everything in the box so that’s always a plus.
Oh and there aren’t any pumpkin spice maltballs in the box. Anymore. Cuz they were good and they got eaten before we even finished unpacking the box. Just sayin….

I received my October box today, yaa, expedited shipping plus extra goodies, lipgloss and Cabana makeup kit from benefit. I love my items: the Happy Socks were a bit snug, maltballs delicious, photo frame too cute, I put my son’s kindergarden pic inside, love the candle and the Halloween decals too cute, perfect for tomorrow!!!! I hope and pray everyone will receive their boxes by tomorrow. Happy Halloween!!!!!
So I thought I would share how horrible Popsugars customer service is.
I ended up ordering two Sept box’s and emailed then and they got back to me fairly fast saying “not a problem, send back one unopened and we will refund it.”
So I mailed it back, checked the tracking and see they got it. It has now been three weeks that they have had the returned box. So two weeks ago I emailed asking why I hadn’t been refunded it. Then I see that they have taken money out for the October box. So now I’m in the hole even more.
I have now emailed them 3 times asking for my refund with no response. So I canceled my subscription this AM. I understand they having some glitches with the new website but this is outrageous.
So disappointed with them.
