May 2014 Just Add Honey
First Look

I have mentioned many times that I just don’t love tea and that still holds true.  But B does and my cousin does and I know that just because it’s not something I love, that doesn’t mean a million other people don’t love it!

The Box in the Box

Inside the box was another box which was the actual tea box.  Everything was packaged very safely and there was not a chance that anything was going to break!

Real First Look

Everything looked beautiful!  I didn’t remember at first that this box included more than just tea, so it was a pleasant surprise to open it up and see a few other items.

The Information Card

The May 2014 Just Add Honey Tea Box doesn’t have a theme, but it included the following items:

~Chocolate Crush (pu’erh tea – medium caffeine) ($3.50): This tea is “a dessert lovers dream” and has a rich and creamy chocolate blend.  It’s recommended as an after dinner dessert tea.

~A Beautiful Dance (white tea – light caffeine) ($3.50):  I cannot find this one in the shop, but it has flavors of strawberry, coconut, rose petals and white tea.  Recommended to be served hot or iced.

~Fresh Start (Herbal Tea – Caffeine Free) ($3.50):  This herbal tea is designed for anytime you need a fresh start!  It’s caffeine free so it will work any time of the day.

~Tea Filters ($1): You can use these for just a cup of tea or in a tea pot if you are having people over for tea.

Tea Filters

~Wildflower Honey ($3.07):  This honey is medium-amber in color and medium-strong in taste and is perfect for those who want honey in tea or for those who want honey to help with allergies. I wasn’t aware that honey could help with allergies and need to look into this more. My allergies flare up every once in a while and when they do I am totally miserable.

~Mint to Be Tea BonBon ($1): Now chocolate with tea in it I can get into! It was good and a nice little treat!

All totaled I came up with a value of $15.57 for the May 2014 Just Add Honey box.  The box itself is $20/month (plus shipping), so it’s not a “value”, but it also included a few items that weren’t available in their shop so I could be off on the pricing.

I’ll say it I hate honey. LOL the smell the taste ugh it give me the ebby geebies just thinking of it. However I can see how some people would like this box and not sure since yours was a review box but it would be great if in the first box you got they sent you one of the tea diffusers so you could use all the loose tea. I guess the filters would work for that but I’ve never tried those and the diffusers are so cute.

    1. Jennifer

You do? LOL! I didn’t know that! I do agree there are some super cute tea diffusers out there. They almost make me want to drink tea. Almost.

i was thinking that i would definitely want to signup for this one, except the price of the items inside the box doesn’t add up to the actual price of the box. I’d be ok with that if shipping was included in the 20, but since it is an extra charge not so cool. Your values are pretty spot on for the not in shop items (i drink a lot of tea).

    1. Jennifer

That is good to know. I wasn’t sure if some of the teas would cost more or something?

  4. Thank you for your review!!!
We are happy that you enjoyed the chocolate infused with tea {even if you’re not a tea drinker 🙂 }!
Our prices for 1oz of tea start at $3.50, but the items chosen for all of our boxes are teas not sold on our website {exclusive blends}. The honey we include varies in price based on the honey and region and begins at $6.00 for 5oz.
A tea traveler is given with your first box if you sign up for our 6mo or 12mo box {that way you can enjoy tea any time}. Otherwise, we include biodegradable bleach free tea bags so you can make a single serving or teapot for you and your friends.
I hope this helps with pricing and details.
    Cheers!
