May 2014 Just Add Honey

Just Add Honey, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a sophisticated tea company in Georgia that was created to bring fresh, fun, and sophisticated tea flavors combined with stimulating and soothing ingredients in every cup. Their ingredients are all natural, pure, and easily recognized. When you subscribe to their monthly tea box you will receive three 1oz bags of loose leaf tea, honey from a small batch beekeeper in the US, and treat each month, delivered right to your door!

The Box

Just Add Honey ships via USPS Priority Mail and took two days to arrive.

First Look

I have mentioned many times that I just don’t love tea and that still holds true.  But B does and my cousin does and I know that just because it’s not something I love, that doesn’t mean a million other people don’t love it!

The Box in the Box

Inside the box was another box which was the actual tea box.  Everything was packaged very safely and there was not a chance that anything was going to break!

Real First Look

Everything looked beautiful!  I didn’t remember at first that this box included more than just tea, so it was a pleasant surprise to open it up and see a few other items.

The Information Card

The May 2014 Just Add Honey Tea Box doesn’t have a theme, but it included the following items:

~Chocolate Crush (pu’erh tea – medium caffeine) ($3.50): This tea is “a dessert lovers dream” and has a rich and creamy chocolate blend.  It’s recommended as an after dinner dessert tea.

Chocolate Crush (pu’erh tea – medium caffeine)

~A Beautiful Dance (white tea – light caffeine) ($3.50):  I cannot find this one in the shop, but it has flavors of strawberry, coconut, rose petals and white tea.  Recommended to be served hot or iced.

A Beautiful Dance (white tea – light caffeine)

~Fresh Start (Herbal Tea – Caffeine Free) ($3.50):  This herbal tea is designed for anytime you need a fresh start!  It’s caffeine free so it will work any time of the day.

Fresh Start (Herbal Tea – Caffeine Free)

~Tea Filters ($1): You can use these for just a cup of tea or in a tea pot if you are having people over for tea.

Tea Filters

~Wildflower Honey ($3.07):  This honey is medium-amber in color and medium-strong in taste and is perfect for those who want honey in tea or for those who want honey to help with allergies. I wasn’t aware that honey could help with allergies and need to look into this more. My allergies flare up every once in a while and when they do I am totally miserable.

Wildflower Honey

~Mint to Be Tea BonBon ($1): Now chocolate with tea in it I can get into! It was good and a nice little treat!

Mint to Be Tea BonBon

All totaled I came up with a value of $15.57 for the May 2014 Just Add Honey box.  The box itself is $20/month (plus shipping), so it’s not a “value”, but it also included a few items that weren’t available in their shop so I could be off on the pricing.
