May 2014 True Drool Box

True Drool, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for the dogs. It’s designed for the “over 40 crowd, over 40 pounds that is”. Boxes contain 4-7 toy/treat items for your large active breed dog to wag, wiggle and drool over.

The Box

True Drool ships via USPS Priority Mail.  Boxes are shipped by the 15th of the month.  If you order by the 7th of the month you will receive a box for that month. If you order after the 7th, your first box will ship the following month.

First Look

When I opened this box I was so confused about the car wash shammy item.  I was super curious to see how it pertained to dogs.  True Drool doesn’t include an information card (at least my box didn’t have one), but the May 2014 box was a “Featured Box”, which is one of their unique themed boxes.  The Spring Clean Box included in the following items:

~Soggy Dog Super Shammy ($19.99):  Ahh, a shammy for dogs!  How cool!  It takes my dogs forever to dry off from a bath.  Buddy is pretty quick, but Baxter?  OMG it takes hours.  So even though this is aimed at big dogs, I am using this for us.  Perfect!

~FURminator Curry Comb Professional Grooming Tool ($14.99): I have something similar and I absolutely love it!  I am going to pass this one on to my brother and his big dogs who will love it as well!

~Clean Face Ear & Eye Wipes ($1): Another item which I am going to snag for us!  They work great and are pretty much baby wipes for dogs.

~Petology Shampoo (~$2): We can always use special dog shampoo and I think I will pop these in with my up-north stuff.  I don’t have any special dog shampoo up there, but they are always in need of a bath of there and this way I don’t have to use baby shampoo!

~Zuke’s Z-Bone Natural Grain-Free Dental Chew ($7.98): I just gave my dogs a smaller version of these yesterday and they gobbled them right up!  My brothers dogs will appreciate these as well!

All totaled I came up with a value of $45.96 (although I did estimate some prices) for the May 2014 True Drool Box!  Sometimes I think it’s hard to do a themed pet box, which this fit the “Spring Clean” theme perfectly!  I loved their picks and even thought I don’t have a large dog, I am pretty darn excited about this box myself!  Baxter and Buddy won’t be too thrilled about all the extra baths they will be getting now though ;).
