It’s time for another edition of What I’m Loving Wednesday!

I’m Loving…..

Costco Finds
Costco Finds

Royal Apothic Lip Collection! I have never heard one single thing about this brand nor have I ever seen it in a store, but that didn’t stop me from picking up this set at Costco yesterday!  4 lip balms and 4 lip scrubs in adorable packaging and fun flavors?  I’ll take it!  Even the cashier stopped ringing up us to admire my purchase.  And I am pleased to report, this stuff is awesome.  Love fun finds like this!

I’m Loving…..

Boys!
Boys!

My Boys.  As usual, I am loving these boys!  B took them on a walk the other afternoon so I could get a few things done around the house.  But when I saw them out the window I couldn’t resist running out there (through the field) to join them.

I’m Loving…..

Ombre
Ombre

Ombre.  I cannot get ombre out of my mind and this is exactly what I want.  Exactly.  I still don’t get how nothing happened when I tried at home, but maybe it’s a sign this is a job for a professional?  I want this hair so badly that I just might have to make an appointment.

I’m Loving…..

New Cleanser
New Cleanser

Lush Dark Angels.  This is probably one of the weirdest products I have ever used, but I love it.  First of all, it smells weird.  And second of all, it looks like dirt.  I kid you not, it looks like dirt.  It’s only been a few days, but my skin does feel great.  I do love how friendly the girls are at LUSH, but I must say, they have a different sense of smell than I do!  They are always like doesn’t this smell great????  Umm, no! Not at all!

I’m Loving…..
Open Windows.
I’ve had the windows open the past few days and it is SO nice to get some fresh air in here.  So nice.  Tomorrow it’s suppose to be like 80 degrees out and I am super pumped for that, but I have been pretending it’s 80 out for the past few days anyway.  50 and sunny outside means open up those windows and break out the flip-flops here in Michigan.

Online Quizzes.  No joke, I take one of these per day.  I have learned so much about myself with these quizzes!  I will live to be 120 years old, my ice cream is “Late Night Snack”, my color is blue, blah blah blah.  I never get bored with these!

That’s it from here.  What are you loving this week?

I loved getting my ombr? done at a salon. She had a technique where she took every section and back combed a bit of hair before she put the dye on it. She said this helps things look more “natural”. Their was not a blunt line of color from her technique. I would have never thought about that doing it at home. (Some people can rock a bold line, I am not one of those people. ).

    1. Jennifer

I really just need to go get it done!

    1. Jennifer

So amazing! First I need more hair though..

  2. Cayla

Do not attempt ombr? at home! It’s a little more complex than it looks. I’m a professional hair stylist and have had to fix one too many at home attempts. 🙂 the best was a lady who dyed just have her hair all the way around. Hysterical! 🙂 and btw so super jealous you have a costco near you. I feel like I’m missing out on all the cool stuff.

    1. Jennifer

Oh I already tried it 2x. Nothing happened!!!!

      1. Cayla

That’s because color doesn’t lift color. If you dye your hair all over dark brown and then take a lighter brown box color to the ends it won’t make it lighter. The only way to lighten previously colored hair is with bleach then a toner to achieve the desired level. Hope this clears up why it prolly did nothing. 🙂

        1. Jennifer

Is was bleach though?? At least that’s what the box said?

        2. JT

Not the same kind of bleach though. To lift color you need a Vol 30-40 developer. Box/OTC color comes with Vol 20. Its a multi-step process lightening hair that was previously colored that’s pretty impossible to do with anything you can buy in a drugstore unfortunately (says the natural blonde who went choc brown, then back to blonde a month or so later, who is now red)

          1. Jennifer

I need something a little more powerful then huh???

  3. Angie

How much was the lip collection? I may have to visit Costco now.

    1. Jennifer

      Like $29!!

  4. Tiffany

Omg that lip stuff looks amazing.. looks like im stopping at costco.. how much was it?

    1. Jennifer

I think it was like $29?

  5. Jen

They need to put a tube of those Royal Apothic lip balms or scrubs in one of my Sub boxes!!! Would love to try those!

    1. Jennifer

      Are they not the cutest????

  6. Jessica

I have an immediate allergic reaction whenever I walk into a Lush store. And that does look like dirt.

    1. Jennifer

Oh it pretty much smells like dirty too!

  7. victoria

What is lip scrub?? I have never even heard of it before.

    1. Jennifer

Just a scrub that helps to condition your lips, etc. which makes your lips more moisturized and gets the head skin off.

  8. Kathryn Johnson

Royal Apothic products are amazing! I tried the hand cream at Anthropologie and I was sniffing my hands the rest of the day! I need to look for the lip set you found.

    1. Jennifer

Ohhh, I was wondering where else it was sold! I want to try the hand cream!

      1. cindy

        1. Jennifer

        2. cindy

  9. Alex M

I love the ombre look, but I’m more obsessed with just getting gorgeous curls like that without having to spend 45 minutes with my curling iron every morning! I’m far too impatient, I just want magic insta-curls. I always get so jazzed from your posts to go to a Costco, but then I remember the closest one is still sooo far away.

    1. Jennifer

Oh I totally hear you on this! Why can’t my hair just look like that when I wake up?

  10. that lip collection looks awesome! from googling, it looks like one balm is $18 so that set is a steal at $29. I may have to have my mom pick me up a set since i don’t belong to costco!

    1. Jennifer

I don’t belong either! I always go with my mom. I am sure she loves when I tag along. HA!!!!!

I used to work at Lush, we were pretty much trained to say everything is like the tears of an angel, LOL. I HATED the way some stuff smelled, but if I ever said anything to customers, my manager gave me the stink eye. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a company I enjoyed working for (VERY different behind the scenes), at least not the store I worked in. Their products work wonders, though! I swear by Full of Grace serum bar!

    1. Jennifer

LOL! Some of it just does NOT smell good. There is no way around it. I mean it has charcoal in it. How could that smell good?? LOL! Did you at least get a good discount?

  12. Lauren

Loving open windows too! Even if it’s the 60s here in Colorado I have to have the windows open. It just feels so stuffy all winter I can’t wait to let fresh air in!

    1. Jennifer

Same!!! I swear it was 50 the other day and I was running around getting the windows open as fast as I could.
