Hammock Pack
Cost: $30/month ($25 + $5 S/H)
Ships To: Continental United States.
In my effort to try some new subscription boxes, I signed up for Hammock Pack last month. I always thought they looked like a cool box and decided it was time to try them for myself.
If you aren’t familiar with them, Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.
Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail (which I love) and took just two days to arrive.
The first look was very cute. I wouldn’t say I was in love, but I was for sure anxious to see what everything was. I thought everything was packaged very well and the presentation was great.
The June 2014 Hammock Pack destination city was “Los Angeles” and includes health-conscious items and some of the most creative beauty products out there. Here is what was inside:
~Museum Nail Nail Polish Wraps ($12.50): I saw these in a spoiler for this month and was right away excited. They are based on collaborations with various artists and are so cool. I received “The Jungalow Collection” by Justina Blakeney which are “plant life inspired”. The set includes 16 nail wraps and I am debating if I want to use just one or two per hand or just use them all at once.
~The Yes Bar Snack Bar ($3): This is way better than I expected. Sometimes “snack” bars with an assortment of ingredients aren’t so amazing. But this was good. I would totally try some of their other flavors.
~Sencha Naturals Green Tea Mints ($3.95): I have tried the pink dragonfruit flavored mints from this brand and I don’t like these quite as much, but they are pretty good still. And I really like the little leaf designs on them.
~Mebath Bath Ice Cream (Summer Rain) ($9.99): Ohhh, how cute is this? Maybe this will actually inspire me to take that bath I have been planning on taking. Baths always sound so relaxing in theory, but I just never take them. But this is just so cool. And Mebath looks like they have a ton of other cool stuff. I for sure want to try that Shower Sherbet!
~Beanfields Bean & Rice Chips ($2): I am not even sure I knew these came in ranch? Either way they are quite good. “Bean chips, well just doesn’t have a great ring to it, but these are better than they sound!
All totaled I came up with a value of $31.44 for the June 2014 Hammock Pack – “Los Angeles” box. The value was just slightly over the cost of the box (which is $30 shipped), but I like that it introduced me to a few new brands and I also felt like it was a treat just for me. I am going to keep this subscription and see where they take me next month!

This looks fun. If it was me, I would use one or two nail wraps per hand. They look nicer than most that I have seen. I think my sister had a yes bar before. I need to ask her because she is gluten-free and is always looking for new products to try. The bath icecream looks relaxing. How can you resist?
I know. I don’t think I am going to be able to resist the cuteness of it. B surely wouldn’t appreciate it like I would.
I got the same bath cream, but I got everything different. I got white and black abstract designs for the nails, my bar was chocolate chip macadamia nut, my chips were barbecue (which I was sad about because I don’t like barbecue and would have loved any other flavor, but hubby appreciated it), and I got the dragon fruit flavor mints. This box is starting to be a consistent win for me (missed may because they sold out before I could order, but I thought that was amazing too). The products are really thought out and good quality and I like trying different brands. I think I will keep this in my regular rotation and probably subscribe for 3 months at a time just to ensure I get each box. I do wish we knew the theme sooner (like escape monthly tells as soon as they send boxes out for that month you know what next month is).
Ohh, I love the dragonfruit ones!
I am dying to know next month’s theme. When do they usually announce??
first week of the month, but even then I just want to know sooner! I have no patience.
I got the BBQ chips, same mints as you, same bar too. My nail wraps are the black and white ones and my bath ice cream is “Hawaiian Lei”. This is my second Hammock Pack, and I think it’s a keeper!
How does the Hawaiian Lei smell??
Like heaven! I can’t actually pinpoint the scent. The website mentions plumeria and freesia, but my daughter and I think it’s just real clean smelling. Similar to Dove soap, but yummier!
darn… i just subscribed to this one and am not looking forward to it now. i feel like i’m paying $30 for nothing… i don’t do my nails and don’t take baths. i will eat the snacks, but can get those elsewhere for much less than $30! Might have to cancel this one unless it gets substantially better.
You will probably get the July to start one won’t you?
i’m not sure… They debited my account last week, so I think I might get June 🙁
Hmm, I wonder. I just got billed today for July, but I swear I signed up in May and mine started with June??
well shoot, now i’m confused. i really hope i don’t get june!
Okay, I actually went and looked at my confirmation e-mail from them and it told me mine would begin with the June pack.
I didn’t save my email… I just sent them one.
Next month is Brooklyn. This was my first box and I the other ones looks better. I will get next months because it is where the company is based out of so I think it will be a good box. What did you think of the yes bar. I got the same flavor as you and it was not for me. A lot of flavor in each bit but overwhelming for me. Below is a link to me getting my box if you have time to watch.

Ohh, I can’t wait to see the Brooklyn one!
