SundaySentiments

You know the drill, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight!

~We had a productive, but still relaxing weekend around here. All of our flowers are planted, the garden is done, the laundry is finished, etc. We’ve been eating all our meals outside too, which is so nice. The kids have been outside all weekend and are going to sleep happy and exhausted.

They want to know who's cuter. I think L ;)

~Not only should we be getting the Special Edition PopSugar Summer Fun Must Have Box  spoilers this week, but I think that the new Erin Condren life planners will be revealed!  Plus, Orange is the New Black Season 2 is coming out this week. It’s going to be good week.

~We went to Walmart this morning in search of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Oreos, but no dice.  I may have to go to a different Walmart tomorrow because the boys (including B) are pretty anxious to get their hands on these.  Anyone spied these in the store?  What do you think?  Good?

~I switched the service I am using to send out my daily recap e-mails, so everyone should be getting them now.  If you get them and don’t want to get them anymore, click here to unsubscribe.  I am guessing some people signed up ages ago and don’t even recall because they hadn’t been getting them for awhile!  I also switched up my e-mail address (finally), so you can now find me at jennifer@ramblingsofasuburbanmom.com.

~Has anyone tried this “Hint of Color” Batiste Dry Shampoo?  I ran into it today and Walmart and couldn’t resist.  And it’s pretty darn good. It doesn’t leave that white powder stuff other dry shampoo sprays do if you aren’t careful.  I totally recommend.

~I mentioned it last week, but Stella & Dot is still offering the free “Hang On” travel case with the purchase of any Getaway Tote.  As if that wasn’t good enough, it’s also “Dot Dollars” time.  For every $50 you spend in June you will get $25 Dot Dollars!  You can apply $25 in Dot Dollars for every $50 you spend from 7/8/14 – 7/15/14!!

~I ordered Five Four Club for B over the weekend (you can use the coupon code “FATHERSDAY” to save $15) and am thinking about trying a new box for myself this month.  Maybe Hammock Pack? Any thoughts on that one?

~We still haven’t done one single thing about having a garage sale this year.  Ahh.  I don’t know why I act like it’s such a big deal because it’s so not.  I’m just being stupid about it.  I need to get my butt in gear and make this happen.  I need to pick a staging area in my house and just start pricing things!

That’s about it from here tonight! How was your weekend?

My mom found out from someone? That the Reese’s Oreos won’t be available until June 9th and they will be at Walmart. Hope that saves you some running around!

Ohhh, this makes more sense. The article said they were in stores now, but my Walmart usually has stuff…

      1. Mrs. L

Yeah, June 9th is date they are supposed to be up, but if it’s like other times, folks stock earlier, so we will start checking on Saturday!

They’re supposed to be at Walmart now, and in other stores June 9. But I’ve been to my 2 local Walmarts and they don’t have them. Drat! I haven’t seen that anyone has actually found these. Maybe they’re trying to incite a riot and raise demand so we all storm the stores whenever that magic day comes.

Did I tell you my garage sale was kindof a bust. We didn’t have many people come by at all and the ones that did were all looking for girl stuff which is so not what I have. LOL but I did take most of the kid clothes I had pulled to a lady here who does basically an online consignment store. Hoping that most of it gets sold that way and if it works out I’ll take her more stuff.
I’ve been looking for those Oreos too. Is Walmart the only place for them? I never go to Wally World but I haven’t seen them at Target or the grocery store where I’ve been.

    1. Jennifer

I guess it’s the only place right now? That’s what that article said. Someone else posted on here it won’t be until the 9th though?? I am on the hunt!

I just got my first hammock pack box last week, and I liked it. The idea is cool, all local items from the location of the month. May was Florida, there was a rifle paper notepad and card, some “sun bum” lip balm, which is awesome! Some chocolate chip cookies from a bakery that is nut free, and I believe dairy free, and gluten free. Some key lime soap, and that may be it, it’s late, my brain is thinking bedtime! I’m looking forward to see what’s in June’s box!

Me too! I have been wanting to try this one for ages!

OMG there’s a new limited edition birchbox–a mermaid themed ones! I want to get it for the great looking sea salt spray alone. the only thing I can’t seem to find is how much it’ll cost. have you heard anything?

    1. Jennifer

      $44

LOVE Batiste! My ulta keeps running out. So glad to know WaliWorld carries it! Thanks for the scoop! I have super dark hair and this stuff rocks!

    1. Jennifer

      Yes! I was very excited!

Sorry B, but L is definitely cuter! Who could ever resist that smile? Now a contest between L and WB would be much harder to judge, because they’re both adorable!

And don’t discount garage sales, as I think they’re a huge pain. We had two before we moved and I couldn’t get over how people tried to bargain down to ridiculous prices! I had priced everything really cheap just to get rid of it, but people still wanted deals. I was ready to throw things away rather than accept their insulting offers, so guess I’m not very good at bargaining! lol And I’m pretty sure people stole stuff when we weren’t looking. Yikes! Maybe that was just NJ and things aren’t so bad in the rest of the country? When I lived in Ohio, my sister and I would take things to a local flea market. Think it cost $20 to rent a spot and it wasn’t as stressful. Good luck whatever you decide!

    1. Jennifer

LOL. I am not a fan of bargaining either. If the price tags says $5. I pay $5!!!!

I haven’t seen the peanut butter oreos.. but I did see some watermelon flavored oreos at Target the other day. My nieces agreed that they did not sound good at all.

    1. Jennifer

We have tried those. I do not love them that’s for sure!
