Fancy offered FREE shipping one day last week on Mystery Boxes and you know I had to take advantage of it. I opted for a Women’s Medium Box for $20 partly because the Small ones weren’t available and partly because I usually get the Large ones and wanted to try something different.
If you aren’t familiar with Fancy, they offer a regular monthly Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, Coco Rocha and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites). In addition, Fancy is now offering Mystery Boxes in three sizes – Small ($10), Medium ($20) and Large ($40), and either Men or Women.
Unlike every other Fancy Box (Mystery or otherwise) I have received, this box shipped via FedEx Smart Post (as oppose to regular FedEx Home) and took a week to arrive. I am guessing that it was because shipping was free they opted to use a cheaper method.
My first look was just kind of there. There was nothing to dig into or wrap which might be why I was just meh about it. Since it was a mystery box it also didn’t contain an information card, but I was easily able to identify everything in the box:
~LAEX Fancy Cardholder ($30): I think this is my third cardholder like this. I have used one, but this one and the other one can hang out together until I figure out what to do with them.
~Bamboo Paper Straws ($8): Oddly I have always wanted these. Well, not since I was a little girl or anything. Just since I saw them in a Fancy Box. The boys will get a kick out of them and think they are drinking out of trees.
~Text Messages Sticky Notes ($7): Ha! I can always use more sticky notes and if I can get B to text me back on these, even better ;).
~Japonesque Eyelash Curler ($14): I will probably end up trading or gifting this since I already have one. It’s kind of neat though because it’s designed for specific lashes you just can’t get curled. You know it always happens! It does to me at least!
All totaled I came up with a value of $59 for this Women’s Fancy Mystery Box! The box was $20 (shipping was free), so even if I take out the card holder it’s still a $29 value. Not a crazy amazing box, but not awful either.
