My bluum box arrived today and WB and I were excited to dig right into it! I feel like no matter how many spoilers I see for bluum, I just never know what I will receive and I love that excitement!
If you aren’t familiar, bluum (who acquired Stork Stack a few months back), is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.
bluum box ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about 4 days to arrive. Not too bad at all.
I wasn’t overly impressed by the first look, but I also wasn’t sure what everything was either.
bluum sends out boxes which include products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage and don’t do a themed box. Products in the monthly boxes still change from month to month, so if you are expecting a 31 Month-Old (we have WB aged up (*)) box next month it will likely be different. Heck, it might even be different if you received a 31-month old box this month. Here is what our July 2014 bluum box included:
~Melissa & Doug – See Inside Peg Puzzle – Numbers ($7.99): We actually have this exact puzzle (we got it when L was a younger) and it’s great. Both kids have played with it and it still looks brand new! This will either end up as a garage sale item (we don’t need two) or I’ll gift it to a friend. But Melissa & Doug puzzles are great!
~Bitsy’s Brainfood Alphabet Smartsnacks Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin Cookies ($2): WB claimed these right away. He was happy as a clam to play in the train / lego room and snack on these guys this afternoon! If he lost track of where he put them, he’d get a little frantic looking for them. It’s fair to say he enjoyed them.
~Itzy Ritzy Sight Word Soup Snack Bag ($9.99): Love these snack bags! I only have the little ones, so getting a larger one from them is awesome.
~Blum Naturals Daily Combination / Oily Towelettes ($3.49): Ohh, these are so handy. I love that they are individually wrapped because you can store them in your bag this way.
~Dapple Samples: I have a few of these and I am going to take everyone’s advice and transfer them into small travel sized containers to use.
~Bonus Item: Bumkins Large Snack Bag ($4.95): I am calling this one a bonus item because the information card had it labeled that Bumkins wanted feedback on it. Anyway, I love it, think the print is awesome and we use these all the time!
All totaled I came up with a value of $28.42 for the July 2014 bluum box. Not a “valuable” box by any means, but I did think everything in it was cute. I do always like to see boxes “cover” their cost so I am a little disappointed that it didn’t. But some boxes have a value of $40-$50 so I suppose it all evens out in the end (if you subscribe long-term like I do).
