July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

I was quite pleased to see a bright Fancy Box waiting for my on the porch today when we got home from our errands.  And I was even happier when I realized it was my July 2014 Fancy Food Box!

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), offers a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love HewittVerbalKelly RowlandCoco RochaSnoop DoggT-Pain and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and took two days to arrive. It left the East Coast on Monday and arrived to me today (Wednesday).  My PopSugar box, on the other hand, left the East Coast last week (I think on the 3rd) and is currently in West Virginia.  Not even close to me at all.

First Look

Totally loved this first look.  I didn’t recognize anything in it and that always makes me happy.

The Information Card

The July 2014 Fancy Food Box included items to help you stop up your 4pm ritual, whether you are having friends over for high tea or counting down to your afternoon coffee.  Here is what was inside:

~Hey Boo Coconut Jam ($14): The name alone makes me like this!  I am not a giant coconut fan, but I want to see what B comes up to use this for.  Fancy suggests using it on toast or to complement a fruit and cheese plate.

~La Colombe Pure Black Brew ($8): Had I not been holding a Starbucks in my hand when I opened this box up I would have cracked right into this drink.  I stayed up way too late last night and needed some coffee in the worst way.  This is cold-pressed and is described as “extra-strong”.  I will be having this tomorrow morning ;).

~Therm-O-Glass Vessel ($41):I think I am in love.  This is a do everything glass “vessel”.  You can use it to infuse tea (well I could if I liked tea), use it as a water infuser or use it to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.  The bottle won’t sweat which is something that drives me crazy in the summer.  And let’s not forget about the gorgeous design of this.  So awesome.

~Blackbird Food Co. Granola ($12): This is good alone or in the morning with your yogurt.  I am going to stash this in my office as a go to snack.

~Mini Stroopwafels ($3.99):  Totally delicious.  If these don’t perk up your afternoon coffee, I don’t know what will.  Love love love!

Mini Stroopwafels

All totaled I came up with a value of $78.99 for the July 2014 Fancy Food Box.  I totally loved this box and was super excited that I did not recognize a single product or brand from this month’s box.  That vessel and coffee alone made this box for me  Everything else was just a bonus!

Did you get Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  If you are thinking of ordering the Fancy Food Box, click here! Fancy Boxes are $39 + $7.95 shipping, but you can always use the coupon code “FOLLOWUP10″ (sometimes this works – sometimes not) to save 10% on any Fancy.com, order, including subscription boxes.  If you are looking for any of the other Fancy Box boxes (including Mystery Boxes), I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site, which I find quite confusing at times.
