July 2014 Mission Cute Box
July 2014 Mission Cute Box

MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen monthly nonprofit (this month is LoveGrows)and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

Super cute first look!  I loved the print and they have really cute packaging as well.

The Information Card

As I mentioned, the July 2014 MissionCute partner was “LoveGrows” and 50% of the net proceeds of this month’s box were donated to them.  LoveGrows is a conglomeration of churches, businesses, families and individuals who share a common vision of helping orphans in need. The box doesn’t have a stated theme (other than sending cute stuff), but my box included the following items:

~You Are Beautiful Sticker by Shawna Armstrong ($3): I already stuck this on the cabinet door in my office.  Sometimes you just need a little reminder to smile!

~Love Necklace (Mission Cute Exclusive) ($22): Not my normal style, but I do see the cuteness here.  You know, I had big plans to work on my jewelry storage issue and that just hasn’t happened yet.  I am going to do some Pinterest searching before my next trip to IKEA (which is next week) and see what I can come up with.

~Anchors Canvas Tote from Who Doesn’t Want That ($6):  Ohh, I like!   This shop has a ton of cute designs and for $6/bag you don’t even have to pick just one!  This shop also does bulk orders and I think they would make awesome little care package bags for a destination wedding!

~Bee Happy 5×7 Print from BySamantha ($10): I have been getting a lot of bee / honey related things lately and I am thinking of putting to box for my beekeeper cousin. I think she’d love it!

All totaled I came up with a value of $41 for the July 2014 MissionCute box.  I think this box does exactly what they promise – send you a box of cute stuff!  I love that I have never heard of any of these shops before and I think that’s part of the fun.
