You know the drill, I am stealing Jen’s Sunday Sentiments button and idea and making it mine tonight!
~Our relaxing weekend has somehow turned into a crazy weekend of running errands and taking care of all the things we should have done months ago! Today’s adventures lead us on a last minute trip to IKEA to get some sort of table for the kids playroom. I think B’s getting ready to start building it now so hopefully I will have some picture tomorrow. I also picked up a funky new lamp and some random odds and ends. L loves IKEA and happily shopped and looked at stuff while WB spent the entire time we were there bear crawling on the floor and trying to pocket every train he saw in their kids displays ;).
~Speaking of WB, tonight is his first night in a big boy bed! We are on this huge clean out / organize kick and are kind of hoping to be able to sell his crib and glider at our garage sale (whenever that may be). So we picked him up a mattress today and he’s currently up there working on falling asleep. I hope. We still have his crib up, just in case.
~L has the loosest tooth known to man and it’s driving all of us insane. Everyone but him anyway. LOL. Maybe it’s because he can’t see it? Not too sure. It needs to come out though!
~A few people mentioned wanting to see pictures of our haul from the Lululemon outlet in Orlando, so here it is! B’s stuff is in the top picture (the hoodie and the v-neck) and the bottom right corner (the grey / aqua shorts and green sweats) and my stuff is in the left hand corner (the blue pullover and the black track jacket). Prices were about $20 to $50 off the normal Lululemon stores so it was for sure worth it!
~I mentioned it on Instagram, but I used “Dr on Demand” for the first time ever on Friday. My neighbor had posted about using it on Facebook once and when I woke up on Friday morning feeling like an absolute disaster I decided to try it out. So basically it’s an App you use to talk to / video chat with a real live board certified doctor in the US. It’s a flat fee of $40 for a 15 minute chat and, if necessary, they can call you in a prescription to your local pharmacy. It took me all of 7 minutes to talk to a doctor and get a Z-Pak called in. I feel a million times better! Obviously they can’t handle anything super serious, but the next time I have pink eye / an ear infection / a cough or something else simple I am all over this again. I figure I’d have to pay my $20 co-pay at the doctor’s office anyway and not waiting for an hour when you are sick is worth that extra $20 cost!
~I got a chance to watch “Candidly Nicole” and “LeAnn & Eddie” last night. First of all I love Nicole Richie. I loved her on that show she did with Paris Hilton years ago and nothing has changed. I was cracking up at her fascination with online dating because I am equally fascinated by it (and also married). And LeAnn & Eddie. Yeah, I don’t know about them. I will say that I think he’s totally gorgeous. I never realized what she saw in him until I saw the show. LOL. I will for sure be watching these from now on!
~If you missed the e-mail from Julep, the August Maven Selection Window is now open! I am loving it and think I am going to get the Polish Lovers Upgrade. I know, I know. I do not need that. But it’s just so pretty!
That’s about all I have time for tonight. I’ll be back in the morning with some (okay a lot) reviews! Hope your weekend was awesome!
The Tele-Medicine services are starting to get big. Before people go downloading this app know that some insurance companies have in network options such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield covers Live Health Online for most health plans. It would be the copay if you have copays or $49 on the HSA/HRA type plans. Not all states can write prescriptions either via phone/app/online services. It is against the law in some states like Indiana. Check with your employers or insurers for these best options.
Thank you so much for the info about the online doc. That is super convenient when you have kids( If you are sick, you don’t want to bring healthy kids into a room full of sick people)
Also, I am a tv junkie, but not much on reality tv. However, for some reason I watched both the Nicole Ritchie and Leeann/Eddie shows and OMG I love them! Leeann/Eddie is suck a trainwreck! I do feel like they brought up his ex every chance they got though! Nicole was just hilarious! Her sense of humor is so blunt/deadpan/sarcastic…it’s awesome!
Totally agree on the shows. I cannot wait for this weeks to be on!
I feel the same way about the julep selection this month. I really don’t need them all but I just can’t narrow it down
… I wish they had that doctor thing the last couple years! Tom always gets weird sinus infections etc and refuses to take time to go to the doctor! I hope you got dinner at IKEA? because if you didn’t i don’t know if i can talk to you anymore. hahaha. we went twice this weekend to pick up stuff for the house.
The app is amazing. Pure genius.
My kids were bananas. There was no way I was staying another second with those two monkeys crawling around the floor!
ahhhh my kids are used to ikea now. they reopened our playground so my daughter gets to go play (E refuses to pottytrain, he doesn’t care!) and then we go shopping. E’s favorite part is the kitchen area, the part with all the gadgets. he always picks out something. but this time he picked out a weiner dog.
we have the stuva bench/drawer (just one), a stuva chest, a stuva tall unit that i put doors at the top, 2 open shelves, and drawers on the bottom, and then a stuva medium size with the doors/drawers. i will post pictures when i have the kids room all set up. they are still going to share, they love it.
LOL! How old is he? Boys just don’t care! It’s much easier to not have to deal with remembering to go I guess???
he’ll be 4 in december. he really needs to get with the program!!!!!
WB is going to need to make it happen way before that or no preschool!
How did he do in his big boy bed!? My daughter will be 3 in November and I’m thinking maybe it’s time to change her to a big girl bed. She doesn’t even attempt to crawl out of her crib but bed time still can be a little crazy and I think she will probably crawl out of her bed if shes able to.
He likes sleeping in it, but he likes being able to get in and out of it as he pleases more. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
We have those same sheets at our house. LOL I’m not sure whose bed they are on right now but we have 4 sets of transportation type sheets and they get moved between the boys rooms. Random but I need a spare set of sheets for my bed. When we looked the other day we have like 4 sets of flannel sheets and only one set of regular sheets. I normally wash and put right back on but a spare is needed and really why do I have so many flannel sheets I live in NC. :/
Julep is killing me this month. I was all set to skip and then they sent the email. I love them all. So shiny and sparkly.
I felt the same way about julep. I want all those pretties!
WB is a wild man in his big boy bed. He just runs out of his bed and laughs. And gets pissed if we even think about putting him the crib. BIG BOY BED he yells at me. Umm, ok.
Hi Jennifer,
Have you ever tried the Beauty Box 5 Limited Edition Boxes? They have two available right now.
Thanks!
I have not!
I would love to see your nails considering you have such a big and fun collection. Do you do them yourself? I manage to do them myself every couple of weeks, but with my Julep collection growing I want to do it more often.
Oh I typically only do my toes on a regular basis. And there is no way I am posting a foot picture. LOL. I mean to do my hands more, but I just don’t have time. Well I have time to paint them, but no time to let them properly dry.
I got the Boho Glam for my Julep box this month and added on Neha, I agree the colors are so pretty this month and I had such a hard time deciding!
They are all gorgeous!
