August 2014 Dottiebox Mini

Dottiebox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of high quality handmade items for women, from both small businesses and indie brands.  They offer their standard Dottiebox which is $26/month and a Dottiebox Mini subscription, which is $13/month.  I did a review on the August (full-sized) Dottiebox here and now it’s time for the Dottiebox Mini review.

The Box

Dottiebox ships via USPS and always takes just a few days to arrive. The boxes I receive from them are always sent in a timely manner and I have never had any problems at all with shipping.

First Look

This month looked totally different than the full-sized box!  I believe they didn’t even have any brand overlapping between the two boxes this month which I think is fabulous.

The Information Card

The August 2014 Dottiebox Mini (which has the cutest business card sized information cards) included the following items:

~Moe’s Apothecary Sugar Scrub (Coconut Lime & Mint) ($8): I wasn’t sure what to think of a Coconut Lime and Mint combination, but it’s actually pretty great!  The scrub feels nice on my skin (I washed my hands quick with it to test it) and I am putting it in the shower right away.

~Naturally Kamdyn Hair Ties ($4.99): I got super fun colors on this one!  I love these hair ties, but more so on my wrist than in my hair.  They usually get all tangled in my hair, but work in a pinch and look stylish doing so.

All totaled I came up with a value of $12.99 for the August 2014 Dottiebox Mini!  The box itself is $13/month so it’s not an OMGAMAZING value, but you for sure get your money’s worth and you also don’t have to pay shipping on the items!

Did you get a Dottiebox this month?  What’d you think?  If you are hoping to get this box, you are in luck because it’s still available!!  If you are interested in ordering or just want to learn more, click here.

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
