First Look

Furry Friends Club just launched so I have never seen a box from them before.  I was super impressed with how everything was packaged and thought it looked fantastic.

The Information Card

The August 2014 Furry Friends Club doesn’t have a theme (not too many of the pet boxes do), but included the following items:

~True Chews Premium Jerky Cuts ($3.99):  Baxter and Buddy love these!  They are made with real chicken and my furries just cannot get enough!

~Natra Buddies Dinosaur (~$10): I think the kids and I like this more than the furries.  It’s so cute!  Every once in a while they will grab a stuffed toy and chew on it, but mainly it’s tug of war with them.  And since they don’t play super rough, they last us forever.

~Dogs Love Kale Apple Crips Treats ($5.59): It appears that my dogs like kale more than I do because they were jumping as soon as they saw this package. They didn’t get a chance to try them yet (they were too busy snacking on jerky), but they are ready!

~DogChewz NYC Chicken Parmesan Treats ($5.94): How cute are these little treats?  They are organic and are made in the USA with no soy, wheat or corn.  I am thinking I will end up passing these along to my brother’s dogs because my dogs can only eat so many treats!

~Snicky Snacks Blueberry Crunch Bar ($3.13): I broke this in half for the boys and actually expected them to ignore it.  But much to my surprise they both took their halves and ran off and I never saw the bars again. I would saw that they liked them!

~Bone Dry Dog Drying Towel ($12.99): Buddy air dries in about 5 minutes, but Baxter, poor Baxter.  It takes hours for his fur to dry.   This is just what he needs am even if it just cuts the drying him in half, it will be a complete win.  Especially in the winter.

All totaled I came up with a value of $40.82 for the August 2014 Furry Friends Club box. I actually expected the value to be higher because I was quite impressed with this box!  Subscriptions start at $29.95 including shipping and are less if you purchase a longer subscription!

If I ever decide to switch cat boxes, I would definitely choose this one. They have allergy-friendly boxes which is wonderful. My dog has a sensitive stomach and one of my cats has inflammatory bowel disease and can’t have grains, chicken, beef, etc. I’ve been waiting for a pet box that considered allergies!

Oh that would be perfect! What do you get now?

I don’t get anything for my dog right now (I’m concerned there’s nothing large enough for her, she’s 95 pounds). But my cats get MeowBox (the one at meowbox dot net, as there seem to be two boxes called this). The poor IBD kitty has to sit outside the room while the rest of the cats get the treats from that one.

I like the review and the items showcased. Love the dinosaur toy.

This looks like a good box, but my dog is getting up there in years, and just doesn’t play much with toys anymore. After Pawalla went out, I decided not to get any more dog boxes. However, we recently got our daughter a pet rabbit for her birthday, and she’s doing great with it so far. Do you know of any boxes for pets other than dogs /cats?

I just went and checked out out my Pet section and there are:
      ~Bunny?s Furr and Feathers FunPacks
      ~A Horse Box
I think the first one does bunnies!
