Hamptons Lane
Cost: $47/month
Ships To: United States.
Hamptons Lane, who kindly sent me this box to review, curates an amazing monthly box of artisan foods, kitchen tools, and serveware for the food lover. Boxes are $47/month and will be revealed at the beginning of every month. Boxes are created around a monthly theme, such as Southwestern Fiesta, Summer Cocktail, The Best of BBQ, Coastal Italy, etc. Unlike most subscription boxes, you can skip the box if it doesn’t interest you during the first five days of that month.
I believe that Hamptons Lane generally ships later in the month, but since this was a review box it came early and shipped via FedEx.
Many of my Hamptons Lane boxes have arrived in a large plain brown box with the actual HL box inside. The larger box holds the items that don’t fit in the smaller Hamptons Lane box and also provides some protection in shipping.
Right away when I saw this box on the 1st during Hamptons Lane reveal I was attracted to the cute factor of it. And it was even cuter in person!
The August 2014 Hamptons Lane theme was “Ice Cream Sundae Bar” and included the following items to help you enjoy a cool, refreshing and decadent treat during the last of the hot summer months:
~Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee Caramel from Fat Toad Farm ($14): Umm, yeah, this is amazing. I struck a spoon in it as soon as the box came and it gets a huge thumbs up from me. I love caramel. And coffee. And I cannot wait to pour this on some ice-cream.
~Tilt Up Ice-Cream Scoop by Tovolo ($10.60): How smart is this? It stands up on your counter so you don’t end up making a sticky mess. And it’s dishwasher safe which is awesome.
~Vanilla Finishing Salt by Didi David Food ($8): This new trend of salt on ice-cream is close to the best thing ever. I love salt. On everything (#sobad). Hamptons Lane included recipes on the back of the information card and I am dying to make the Salty Caramel and Ice Cream Chocolate Cups and the Salty Chocolate Cookie A La Mode – both of which call for this salt. Cannot wait!
~Edible Pretzel Spoons by Foodiespoon ($13): A few of mine were broken (and eaten by WB and I) so they didn’t make it into the picture. I can’t say that I have ever gotten an edible spoon at a restaurant, but I hope that it happens on day because this is super fun.
~Sweet Treats Ice Cream Tub by Tovolo ($10): I actually think we own an ice-cream maker so we might just be able to fill this up with homemade ice-cream! These would also make adorable store containers.
~Red & White Extra Wide Paper Straws by Kikkerland ($9): When you think on a malt or a shake, you pretty much think of these straws. They are paper straws, but are suppose to stay study in cool liquids and dairy products for up to three hours. Like it’s going to take me 3 hours to drink a shake. Ha!!!!
All totaled I came up with a value of $64.60 for the August Hamptons Lane “Ice Cream Sundae Bar” box. I thought this was one of their funnest (is that even a word) boxes to date and am SO looking forward to trying out some of these recipes! Once L gets home from up-north, we are going to get started on making some!
What do you think of Hamptons Lane? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here. You’ll get $10 off your first box (it’ll appear as a credit in your account and will be deducted when you are billed) using my link, which would make your first box only $37. I believe there is still time to opt in for this box so you won’t even have to wait until next month for your first delivery!
Cute box! Just FYI when I signed up it said $47…price must have gone up!
Thank you! All fixed now!
PS: got a birchbox email saying that in Sept for birchbox man, you can pick your sample choice. There is a video link on their site 🙂
