Loot Crate ships via USPS around the 20th of the month.  As usual, it took two days for it to arrive to me.

I’d seen a few pictures of the August 2014 Loot Crate and was so excited to get ours.  I knew right away that this would be a good one for L!

The August 2014 Loot Crate theme was “Heroes” and included things from the summer’s most talked about Heroes, as well as, the ones we’ve come to know and love over the years.  Here is what was inside:

~TMNT Full Figure Ridrobot ($9.99): Who doesn’t like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?  They have been around forever and I love that they are still as popular as ever!  L, along with his friend who was over when this arrived, was very excited to open this.

~Funko POP! Groot Exclusive (~$20): This is a Loot Crate exclusive so I had to guess on the price. L hasn’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, but he knows all about Groot! And he thinks this is amazing and is going to think it’s even cooler when he finds out its arms glow in the dark.

~TMNT Mask Glasses by H2W ($12.99): Hands down my favorite item in the box.  These are fabulous and L and his friend couldn’t get them on fast enough. I am actually going to try to trade for another pair in a different color so that WB can have some too!

~Shoe Lightning Bolts by Schwings ($6.99): L actually received these in a Silly Rhino box once, but I have no problem with getting another set.  He’s been getting more pairs of tie shoes (instead of velcro) so we’ll totally use these ones too.

~Sonic Air Freshener by Sega & Epic Scents (~$4): My car always stinks so I will have to steal this one from the box.  My mom would always shake her head at the mess in my car and then she had L and my cousin up-north together for a few days and her car was a mess before she even knew what happened.  Now she gets it!

~Pin, Magnet & Bonus Digital Loot: I am loving the magnet this month!  It’s going in the fridge in the basement right away.  The box also includes a digital download for a few games which L may or may not use.  His Minecraft addiction is a tough one to break!

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $53.97 for the August 2014 Loot Crate – “Heroes” box!   We totally loved this box and it was probably one of our favorites to date.  Loot Crate has released the spoilers for next month yet, but I am super looking forward to hearing what they do!
