Yesterday was such a good subscription box day around here and one of the boxes that arrived was my August 2014 Love With Food box!
If you aren’t familiar, Love With Food box members receive a curated box filled with 8+ unique gourmet food items. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (I actually think this month was two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.
Love With Food ships via DHL and took only five days to arrive this month. Not too bad for DHL if you ask me.
With every Love With Food box I get I wonder how in the world they pack all this stuff in such a little box and this month was no exception. For every five boxes I get from them I can repack them up and get the box closed maybe once. Maybe.
The August Love With Food theme was “Fun at the County Fair” and included a box of blue-ribbon snacks full of fun for the whole family. This month’s information card was totally revamped and is now a fold out brochure instead of just a front and back sheet. It also includes a recipe for one of the items in the box which I think is super cool! Here is what was inside:
~Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato Chips by Covered Bridge: Totally a B item. He is all about the salty snacks and is currently addicted to the new Lays Bacon Mac n’ Cheese, so these will be a nice change of pace.
~Crispy Cheddar Crackers by Back to Nature: Totally love these crackers. I hope this brand eventually arrives at my local grocery store because I would totally buy them.
~Cinnammon Grahams by Skeeter Nut Free: Another awesome snack! I don’t really consider this a fair food, but they are for sure tasty and the kids love them.
~Kettle Sweet Peanuts by Love With Food: The recipe in the information book was for “Blue Ribbon Chocolate Peanut Cookies” and called for 1/2 cup of these. I am not really a fan of cookies with nuts in them, but these sound really really good!
~Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries by 180 Snacks: Even though I read the label on this I still looked at the picture and thought there were raisins in it. LOL! I need to see what other flavors these come in because they were better than expected.
~Pineapple + Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze!: The kids love these! WB is a popsicle / freeze pop addict (he is so hooked) and L loves fruit bars, so this will be gone just as soon as its frozen.
~Salty Peanut & Salty Caramel Apple Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road: The salty caramel is totally my favorite, but the salty peanut isn’t so bad either. Not bad at all.
~Lollipops by Yumearth: These are going to be in my purse for emergency meltdowns for the boys when we are out and about. Well, for WB since he’s the only one who really melts down. They will love them.
I never do a cost breakdown on Love With Food, but, as usual, I certainly think it’s worth the $12/month I pay for it! This wasn’t one of my all-time favorite months ever, but that might just be because it didn’t have any chocolate in it. LOL!
Did you get Love With Food this month? What’d you think? If you are interested in signing up click here. Subscriptions (for a regular box) are $12/month, but if you are a new customer you can try your first box free (you pay shipping of $2) using my link (no code needed)! And if you subscribe and received the Deluxe box this month (which is $19.95/month), did you get any different goodies in it?
You can get Back to Nature crackers at Whole Foods and/or on Amazon (with the latter, of course, you’re often required to buy an entire case…). Once, I bought the ones they make that are like Triscuits and I thought they were very good (and much less oily than regular Triscuits).
I fear Whole Foods. It’s just so expensive and I get sucked in buying everything.
I’m pretty annoyed with Love with food. I signed up for there gluten free box. It ship and I recent email on the 10th. It hasn’t move as of just now
It’s sitting in GA, and I’m pretty anoyed. My kids are driving me insane asking about it.. and u have yours already? Same with pSMH. That’s expected next friday. Yeas a week from tomorrow. How anoying!!
Yeah, DHL’s tracking is awful. It might actually be moving and it just hasn’t updated!
I was able to get the Deluxe box for 1/2 off with a twitter party coupon code. I will let you know as soon as I get my box what extra items we get. Mike (my hubby) is excited about the nutty snacks in the box.
Nice! Report back!
Still waiting, but I peeked on my account. They will include Justin’s peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread. Plus there are some BBQ multigrain chips. Everything else will be doubled. My box is also stuck in limbo, hoping to get it by Saturday.
Kroger has back to nature…I get their stuff a lot. I may have had this box for dinner last night (minus the candy and chips)..sad but true.
Ohhhh, why haven’t I noticed that???
You can buy the Back to Nature snacks on VineMarket.com–I know there was a 20% off code in a recent Citrus Lane box, I think it expires either 8/31 or 12/31.
You need to go to the natures market area where all the organic and natural foods are.
Just used your referral code. Thanks!
Thank you!
They often sell Back to Nature at the 99 cent only store. A tad late in commenting but just wanted to share the awesomeness of the 99 cent store.
Awesome!
