I enjoyed the book selections Paper Dots made for me so much on my review boxes that I decided to pick up a subscription of my own!

If you aren’t familiar, Paper Dots sends subscribers one handpicked, expert-curated book to their doorstep each month. Book selections are made for you based on your questionnaire answers.  It has questions like what was the last book you read, why did you like it, what was the last book you read and didn’t finish, what genre of books do you like, etc.  Books are selected to engage and entice subscribers into becoming a committed reader. Boxes also include “a little something” extra to help the words come off the pages and into your life!

The Box

Paper Dots ships via USPS Media Mail which can take anywhere from a few days to over a week to arrive. They don’t send out shipping notifications, so it’s always a surprise when it shows up.

First Look

Paper Dots has such cute packaging and the polka dot tissue paper is perfect for their name!

Unboxed

I was SO excited to see what book I received this month.  Paper Dots always seems to pick books for me that I end up loving, but never ever would have picked on my own which is why I love them.  It’s fun to discover new books.

Since all boxes are customized there is no information card, but here is what I received this month from Paper Dots:

~The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman: Not only have I never heard of this book or author, but based on the cover, I probably wouldn’t have picked it on my own.  However, just from the description alone (it’s about a young couple that moved to a remote island and end up finding a baby), I was hooked.  I started reading and now I am even more hooked. If you haven’t read this yet, GET IT NOW!  Ahhh!!!!  It is going to take all the willpower I haven’t to stay up until 2am finishing this tonight.

~Anchor Necklace: This month’s “go with” was an anchor necklace.  I don’t know that I will ever wear it, but I like the charm itself a lot and may try and figure out something to do with it.  Maybe just take the chain off and stick a magnet to the back?  That might work.

As usual, I don’t think that Paper Dots is going to save you any money by subscribing.  That’s not what they are about.  However, they will give you an experience and introduce you to new books that you’ve never heard of before and, hopefully, will love!  I love opening up these boxes and seeing what I will get next!
