I was more than happy to take a break from sorting kids clothes this after (so.many.clothes) to dig into my Birchbox for CEW Limited Edition Boxes! Birchbox just launched this boxes on Tuesday and I received them today (Thursday) so they arrived super quick!
If you aren’t familiar, the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Insiders’ Choice Beauty Awards, aka the Oscars of the beauty world, gathers together the top beauty experts in the world who then select the best and brightest products of the year. And together with Birchbox they have packed them into the following two boxes.
Limited Edition: Mass Appeal – 2014 Birchbox for CEW
The Mass Appeal box, which is $15, is packed with best-in-class products from this years CEW finalist brands.
The following products were included:
~Dove Go Fresh® Restore Body Wash ($0.75): Not the fanciest body was out there, but it smells great and will be awesome for traveling.
~Simple® Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 ($11.29): This left great on my skin and I love that it has SPF in it. I feel like every moisturizer should have an SPF in it because I don’t really love having to double up sunscreen + moisturizer.
~L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara ($8.49): I haven’t gotten a chance to try this yet, but I love the shape of the wand and that you can see the shape of the wand through the packaging!
~Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips ($2.27): I am absolutely in love with this. I have a few of them at home and think it gives just the right amount of color and shine without being too much. And since it’s vaseline, it’s obviously very moisturizing too!
~Burt’s Bees® 100% Natural Lip Gloss in Spring Splendor ($7.20): Ohh, I have never tried this before (at least that I can remember) and I am a fan! The color is great, it’s not all sticky and it’s got all natural ingredients as well!
~TRESemmé® Keratin Smooth Keratin Infusing Serum ($5.99): This smells amazing. It tamed my flyways right away as well which was exactly was it was suppose to do. This could become a new favorite because the price is incredible!
All totaled I came up with a value of $35.99 for the Mass Appeal box and I am super happy with it. I only paid $15 for it, so I got more than double my money’s worth! This is such a great way to try some of those items you see at the drugstore without breaking the bank!

Limited Edition: Prestige Headliners – 2014 Birchbox for CEW
The Prestige Headliners box, which is $18, is filled with all-star products from this year’s CEW finalist brands.
There is what was included:
~Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Crème ($8): I used to buy this on a regular basis, but it’s a little on the spend side so I don’t anymore. But I still totally love it and am so happy to see it in this box.
~Josie Maran Cosmetics 100% Pure Argan Oil Light ($4.80): I have never had much luck using this on my face, but I love how it makes my hair look!
~100% Pure Creamy Nail Polish (velouria) ($12): I don’t love this color, but I am excited to test the formula of this brand. I would love to know what other colors they sent out. If you got this box, what color did you get?
~philosophy miracle worker® overnight ($13.60):My skin needs some miracles. I don’t know if it’s the changes in the weather or what, but it’s a mess! I am trying this tonight!
~COOLA Environmental Repair Plus® Radical Recovery™ After-Sun Lotion ($2.67): I am have lucky to escape sunburn this summer, but I know that won’t always be the case. I will be packing this for Vegas because I can never ever escape it there, no matter how much sunscreen I use.
~Lifestyle extras: Pocket Mirror, Toe Separators. Birchbox also included two little extras – a pocket mirror and a toe separator. I love their little bonus items!
All totaled I came up with a value of $41.07 for the Prestige Headliners box. And just like with the mass appeal box, I am super happy with this one and think it was $18 well spent! I love when they do these collaborations with CEW!
