September 2014 ipsy Glam Bag Review

Wow! I almost didn’t believe it when I saw it, but my September 2014 ipsy arrived today!

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it.

The Bag

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail.  My bag took only four days this month which was totally amazing.  Last month it took eleven days!

I didn’t get the little card we usually get from ipsy which tells you the monthly theme, lists the brands in that month’s bag, etc.  It’s all online though, so it’s not too big of a deal.

The September 2014 ipsy theme was “Street Style”.  There were eighteen different products this month and each bag included five of the eighteen.  I received the following variations:

~The ipsy Bag: This month’s ipsy bag was fabulous.  It’s super soft and I love the studs on it.  I think it fits the theme perfectly.

The ipsy Bag

~Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush ($6.99):  I somehow missed that this was two brushes in one when I checked out the sneak peek so I am liking it better than I thought I would.  It’s not overly fancy, but it’ll come in handy for traveling.

~Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil (Gun Metals) (~$5.50): This looks to be about half of the size of a full-sized eye pencil so that’s how I calculated my price.  I would have preferred the Pacific Nail Polish in place of this (it was either the eye pencil or polish), but I am going to trade someone for it, so it worked out just fine.

~CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss (Love Affair) ($18): I was very excited to see this in my Glam Room and rightfully so.  This color?  It’s absolutely gorgeous.  The gloss gives you both color and shine.  Fantastic!

CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss

~Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream ($17): So I know I said yesterday that Tocca hand cream was my favorite (and it is), but this is a super super close second.  I received it ages ago in a GLOSSYBOX and loved it.  It doesn’t smell like much, but it’s very moisturizing.

Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream

~Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser ($2.37): I have tried an assortment of items from this line, but this is the first time I have received the cleanser.  It’s another item that I will end up using for traveling since it’s such a good size for that.

All totaled I came up with a value of $49.86 for the September 2014 ipsy bag.  Considering that it was only $10, this is beyond incredible.  Some months I don’t absolutely love ipsy, but this month I did.  I would have been over the moon happy with just the hand cream and the lip gloss. The rest was just a bonus.
