My September 2014 Kelly Rowland Fancy Box was delivered this morning. Her boxes have been kind of hit or miss for me so I was looking forward to seeing what she did this month.
Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and also celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Kelly Rowland, The Rockettes (which is one of their latest celebrity collaborations) Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Coco Rocha, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and / or Nicky Hilton. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites), a Culinary Box and Fancy Mystery Boxes.
Fancy Box ships via FedEx. This one was scheduled to arrive on Saturday, but it didn’t actually show up until today. It looks like there was a problem with the shipping label and it needed to be relabeled. I think they had to open up the box and use the packing slip to grab my address too. Considering all that I didn’t think the delay of two days was too bad.
Such a big box for these tiny items! Fancy Box really needs to get some different sized boxes. For whatever reason my September Kelly Rowland Fancy Box didn’t have an information card (it may have gotten lost when they opened the box up to get shipping information), but it included the following items:
~Photomug Retro Camera Mug ($16): I don’t even think I can tell you how much I love this. It’s awesome. I love all sorts of coffee mugs and this one is fabulous. It’s square which is until any of my other coffee mugs so that’s even better.
~Gold Ear Cuff ($24): When I first glanced at this I thought it was a pinky ring. No, it’s an ear cuff. I can’t really see myself wearing this, but I probably would if I were younger and / or went out more (ever).
~Thin Ring Bracelet by Galisfly ($34): I tried to get a picture of this on, but it just didn’t look right on my hand. The model in the picture looks much better. I will be passing this on to a friend along with the ear cuff.
~Neon Rim Frame ($15): I don’t dislike this, but it’s also not something I would buy on my own either. I’ll use this in the playroom or basement or somewhere else we have bright colors.
All totaled I came up with a value of $89 for the September 2014 Kelly Rowland Fancy Box. The value was there, but this wasn’t a great box for me personally. I mean I do love that mug, but I could have bought that on my own for less than the box. I might let this one go for a few months and give a different Fancy box a try for a bit.
