~This is our first full week back at school and things are still going well. I have to tell you though, packing a lunch and two snacks everyday isn’t as fun this week as it was last week! And I only have one kid in school. Hats off to you moms packing lunches every day for multiple kiddos. You rock.
~Target announced yesterday that they are pairing up with Toms for an exclusive holiday line and, based on the preview, it looks like it’s going to be pretty cool. All of the pieces will be less than $50 each and it’ll all be in stores in November. I have my eye on the kids shoes, the throws and the hats and scarves. Target also has a collaboration coming up with Altuzarra, but I am not familiar with that designer. Should I be checking it out on Sunday when it comes out?
~I still have lots of subscription boxes coming this week including BOXYCHARM, Fabletics, FabKids, Lip Factory, Sunset 45, The Rockettes Fancy Box, two Birchbox boxes, Dottiebox Mini, Bocandy and Beauty Box 5. My September PopSugar and ipsy probably aren’t going to get here until next week, but I can wait. It’s been a pretty fun mail week around here ;).
~B originally had National Guard this weekend so we didn’t have anything going this weekend, but it got canceled so we now to have to figure out something fun to do. Maybe the cider mill? It’s suppose to be kind of chilly, so that might be fun. I tried to talk B into going to see The Black Keys and Cage The Elephant on Friday night, but he didn’t seem too excited about that. He’s lame.
~Has anyone been to Costco lately? My mom and I went yesterday and OMG, it’s a paradise. They have all their holiday toys out and there was just so much cute stuff this year. I so badly wanted to buy a teepee (because that’s what I need, a teepee) but I resisted. We couldn’t resist a little set of kids appliances (blender, coffee maker, etc.) that actually work though. My mom scooped them up for WB for Christmas. They were too cute not to get (I should have taken a picture of those) and seemed to be going fast.
~I got my Pick Your Plum Grab Box and I have to say, it was the most random assortment of items I could have ever imagined. Plates, cups, footie socks (which I actually love), a stamp set, a toddler dress, foldable vases, post-its, the list goes on and on. It was a true grab box that’s for sure. I doubt I will get it again, but it was certainly fun to try.

Omg! I’m gonna buy out that Toms for Target section!
He gets 2 snacks a day? How long is he there for? N starts at 9:15 and has lunch at 11:30 and a snack about 1:45 and the is dismissed at 3:45. I’m packing his lunch everyday too but I’ve told you how boring that is. LOL His snack goes in the two slot goodbyn and is very similar to his lunch. One side has fruit and the other has pretzels and a fruit snack. Quick and easy and it makes him happy so we go with it.
Those Pick your Plum bags were really random this time. I feel like they are more random then the ones last time. I didn’t get one this time but maybe next time just depends when they do it.
They were so random. I just kept pulling stuff out and was like what on earth?
He’s actually there for abut 20 minutes longer than N. I forget the exact times, but it’s AM snack maybe an 1 hour after they get there, then lunch, then afternoon snack two hours after that. It works out good for L because he doesn’t like to eat a big breakfast in the morning and gets hungry.
Oh that Toms and Target is awesome! I see lots I want too!
There’s an Irish festival in Muskegon that’s where we are headed.

Wait, is that pic of Yates from this year? the red tree in the background and everyone wearing boots and coats. I mean today it’s time to bust out the winter gear but it was 90 the other day. And costco… nothing like getting my Christmas shopping done before the middle of September except my kids already open all the presents cuz I left them in the car

Target + Toms….yes please! Let’s see, I’ll be needing one of those yummy looking throws, I can already imagine cozying up under it on the couch. This will probably sound weird, but the men’s crewneck sweaters look super comfy too. Sometimes I like menswear for women–and those sweaters look super snuggly for lounging in come cold times. I’ll probably need some shoes too, cuz well, Tom’s lol.
I am SO curious to see how much everything is. I hope the throws aren’t $49.99!
Oh man why don’t those pink toms come in adult size? I would be on those in a heartbeat! I love those blankets and that candle is nice. I’m actually excited about that design collaboration. haha!

So you’d probably know this.. does Costco have a free sample machine? I’ve been contemplating joining Costco but Sam’s Club has a free sample machine when you first walk in. You scan your card and get a free sample of something. Usually laundry detergent but there have been other things too. I know that’s a dumb reason to join a bulk buying club, but if Costco doesn’t have one I probably won’t join anything since my mother has a Sam’s Club membership and I can go with her whenever.
OMG no. That sounds pretty fantastic and is making me want a Sams Club membership!

Great minds think alike! Yesterday, I came so close to purchasing the Costco teepee but just couldn’t justify it – yet! And, my mom picked up the appliances for my daughters for Christmas! Finally, if we lived in the same town I would definitely go see the Black Keys and Cage the Elephant with you. My husband can also be boring!

I have a love/hate relationship with costco!! How much were the tipees? I have to make a trip there now just to see the toys:)
That’s the thing. It was $74.99! Had it been cheaper it would have been all mine.
I need to stop in at Costco preferably during lunchtime so I can sample and shop at the same time. Apple cider donuts are delicious. I think my miniDottie box is coming tomorrow. My sister is an hour and a half away and got hers today. Maybe my MIA Wantable intimates box. Probably not, but at least Wantable is sending a replacement box. I think most of my weekend will be taken up by driving the kids around and a festival.
My BOXYCHARM is totally MIA. It left Orlando about a week ago. It’s taking the long way!
That’s horrible!!! I hope Boxycharm shows up especially since this month’s box looks absolutely amazing. My Wantable box seems to be having an extended stay in KY. No scans since the 5th. I even received a different order from Wantable that shipped after the MIA box. I’m happy they offered a replacement box.
Count me in as someone who is excited about the Target/TOMS collaboration.

Love The Black Keys. they are going to be close to where I live sunday however too much $$ for us right now .. Bummer, but I have seen them live and they are amazing~

I pretty much NEED everything in the Target/Toms collection. Toms are just about the only shoes with covered toes I can get my 4 year old to wear for school!
And the Costco toys? OMG. I just went and bought too much – both sets of green toys trucks, plus the kitchen stuff, the frozen sleeping bag set and a couple other things. Yikes! And I do need the teepees – but yeah, couldn’t justify!
They have such great stuff right now. I was so impressed!
