My September 2014 Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box arrived today which is one of the last September subscription boxes I am expecting.
Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Snoop Dogg, Nicky Hilton, the Rockettes and / or T-Pain. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is seriously awesome), a Fancy Culinary Box, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes.
Fancy Box ships via FedEx and took the standard two days to arrive to me. My FedEx lady pretty much thinks I am crazy with all the Fancy Boxes I get.
The first look was just meh. I wasn’t overly excited by it, but I had hope that there was a bunch of amazing stuff under that book.
The September 2014 Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box didn’t have a stated theme, but it everything in it was related to the kitchen. Here is what was included:
~Mason Jar Shot Glasses ($16): These are so cute! We don’t have much of a need for more shot glasses so I think I will use these in my office. Maybe just to hold paperclips, thumbtacks and that sort of thing.
~Chickpea Magazine ($20): They call this a magazine, but it’s more of a cookbook to me. It’s got vegan recipes and tips and tricks for autumn. I will be passing this one to a friend who will get more use out of it than I will.
~Vintage Paper Straws ($8): We can always use straws around here. The kids go through them like crazy and I like never having to buy them.
~Stoneware Mini Baker (~$15): I have no idea what I am going to use this for, but I will figure something out. It’s too cute not to use!
~Egg Salt and Pepper (~$15): These are super cute too. I think my mom will love these (and also I don’t use salt and pepper shakers) so they are going to go to her.
All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $74 for the September 2014 Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box. I had to guess at a few of the items because I couldn’t find them online, but I think I am pretty close. This wasn’t my favorite JLH Fancy Box, but it wasn’t my least favorite one either!
Did you get the September JLH Fancy Box? What’d you think and what did you get? Any variances? If you are thinking of ordering this or ANY of the Fancy Boxes, click here and get on it! If you can’t find the Fancy Box you are looking for, I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site and you’ll be able to find all the fancy boxes there, as well as, the Mystery Boxes.
Ohhhh!! If you can’t find someone to give that vegan cook book to, I’d love it! 🙂
It’s yours! E-mail me your address!
Could the mini baker be used for stovetop potpourie?
That’s a good idea!
I’m usually not too impressed with Fancy boxes, but this one is actually really nice! Those salt and pepper shakers are THE CUTEST!! I went to see if they could be added to my wedding registry, they couldn’t (not available)… But maybe, just maybe I’ll order this one fancy box!!
I don’t think you would get this one though. I think you’d get October if you ordered now. They have these ones in stock, but they have brown eggs:

If you need a use for those shot glasses (this might make me a terrible mom, but….) my kids love using shot glasses for dipping sauces like ketchup or ranch, and I also will fill one up with small snacks like blueberries or M&Ms We basically use them like small bowls
We have so many shot glasses here but that is the best idea ever. I’m going to start doing that with ours for the boys too.
That is a really cute idea! My kids have no clue they are for downing booze as fast as you can. They just think they are mini glasses!
Oh my I love this box. Its not really anything I need but I’m a sucker for small cute things like the shot glasses and pot. So stinkin’ cute plus the straws are chevron so what’s not to love. LOL
Ha! I do love those Mason Jars! I briefly considered letting the kids just drink out of them. It’s not like they know they are shot glasses right?
I like this box. Is she a vegan? Her boxes provide a lot of variety.
You know, I don’t know??
It seems like a random thing to add unless she is vegan or dairy/gluten-free. I google it out of curiosity and all I could find is that she was on a vegan diet because of a doctor recommendation. I’m always curious about food.
Interesting!
A suggestion for that mini-baking dish. My mum uses something similar to make baked brie in. You can add different toppings to the brie or just have it as is…she does something with pecans and maple sugar, though. You can spread it on crackers or bread after you take it out of the oven. That dish looks to be the perfect size for a small wheel of brie. 🙂
That is exactly what the information card suggested for it. I have never baked brie. I didn’t even know you could???
OMG Baked Brie is amazing! And so many toppings you can add (usually something with honey and nuts works for me).
As for those cute little shot glasses…I’m with everyone else…use them as little bowls…Put different salts in each at the table, cream and sugar…the possibilities are endless!
Could you move closer to me and have to me over for dinner every night? Your ideas are so great!
I got this box too. Love it! I used the baker for a single serving of delicious mac and cheese and may use the shot glasses for little pots. Im not sure if I will use the salt n pepper so Im up to sell or trade if you are still interested. 🙂
