Baxter and Buddy have been completely spoiled this month already and the trend continued yesterday with the arrival of their November 2014 BarkBox!
If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month.We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.
BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (it starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS) and took about a week to arrive to me.
I thought I knew what the theme was as soon as I opened up the box. Everything looked cute and the dogs were trying to sniff the snacks as I was trying to take this picture!
The November 2014 BarkBox celebrates the joys of cooking with your beloved sous chef (your dog) and included the following items:
~Swag Company Cornucopia ($11): OMG stop it. I had no idea that there was even a cornucopia dog toy. This is awesome. I think the kids like it more than the dogs, but I am not too sure the dogs realize it’s theirs yet. It’s very well made and could seriously double as a kids toy.
~Plato EOS Turkey & Sweet Potato Treats ($4.99): It looks like Baxter and Buddy will be snacking well this month. They sampled these this morning and appeared to like them a lot.
~Safemade Apawthecary Cleaning Wipes ($4): You can hook these in your keychain (or leash handle I guess) so you can clean your dogs paws whenever you need to.
~Petmate Chef Heggies ($10): I am cracking up. This little guy is a trip. WB thinks it’s adorable and Buddy wants to rip it’s head off. A good toy for sure.
~Caru Pet Food Company Beef Stew ($6): On this product’s website it states that it tastes just like real stew. I am not going to test that out myself and I doubt my dogs will delay the information if I make them a can of stew from Kroger so I will take their word on this one!
All totaled I came up with a value of $35.99 for the November 2014 BarkBox. I thought this box was super cute and beyond perfect for this month! I am hoping that next month is just as good and I am thinking it will be with the holidays.

My box value was $31 which was super disappointing to me because there wasn’t even a toy. Just a couple chew bones and treats and the wipes. I would have loved the hedgehog or the cornucopia! So adorable!
What size dog do you get the box for?
My Olivia LOVES the hedgehog cook (she’s a little maltese) – like OBSESSED. She is also the only anorexic dog I know – and she loved both the treats too. I loved this box.
That is so funny!!!
I hope we get the cornucopia. This will be our first barkbox. I did get the tiny size one though
You might! I just got the small one!
omg, the cornucopia, the hedgehog, the stew… best box ever 😮
It was so cute!
My 100 lbs German Shepherd puppy loved that hedgehog so much that within 5 minutes of me giving it to him, he tore the face off!! This was our second box (bogo free deal). I went ahead and canceled because he is too destructive with the toys. He loves the treats but I think I’ll use that $29.99 to go buy him a strong toy that’ll last longer than 5 minutes or a ton of tennis balls because he is obsessed with those.
They do have a heavy chewer box option where they sent sturdier toys!
This is probably my favorite box I’ve gotten from barkbox. Too cute.
It was adorable!
Large heavy chewer option came with a really tough, squeaky treat dispenser. My dog went nuts and has had it with him nonstop since it came. Best month yet. This is probably my favorite sub. Love seeing my dog (kid) so happy when it comes every month.
Yes mine loved the rubber squeaky. I want to know what it is called so I can buy more. Dont see it in the Barkshop
My little boy is OBSESSED with the cornucopia! He’s a min pin/chihuahua mix. I keep having to put the little veggies back inside because he loves digging them out. Then he carries them around and won’t put them down. I guess they’re the perfect size for his mouth.
I think this is his fourth or fifth BarkBox, and he knows what it is now. Whenever I bring the box in and set it down, he goes nuts!
We get the medium box and my pup is a heavy chewer. They sent her a squeaky plastic turkey leg and she had holes chewed into it in 2 days. She also got an eggplant toy and snacks. I always love the boxes and cant wait for them to arrive.
Do any of the toys squeak? My dog ignores them if they don’t.
