MunchPak, who kindly sent me this package to review, is a monthly food subscription service and ecommerce website that aims to introduce the best, new, and popular snacks from all over the world to the average Joe. MunchPak offers two different sized packs – the Original MunchPak ($24/month) which includes 12+ full-sized snacks each month and the Family MunchPak ($42/month), which includes 22+ full-sized snacks.
MunchPak ships packages twice a week, so it shouldn’t take too long for your Pak to arrive. Packs are shipped in a variety of ways depending on where you are located, but mine shipped via USPS.
I haven’t received a MunchPak in a few months and I this box was fuller than I remember the other packages I received from them. Not a bad thing at all ;).
MunchPak doesn’t exactly include an information card on the products in the box (although I wish they would), it’s more of a general card about MunchPak. However, you can find out more about the snacks included in MunchPak boxes, you can do so here.
The following items were included in my November 2014 MunchPak:
~Griski: These peanut butter flavored (filled) sticks. That’s the best way I can describe them. They are good I know that!
~Tortica Original: I haven’t tried this yet, but it looks incredible. It’s a giant chocolate wafer cookie so I can’t see what would be wrong with that.
~Sun Fat Hello Bear Chocolate Bear Biscuits: I cannot figure out why no companies in the US sell these in giant boxes. Chocolate filled koala bears are GOOD.
~Toffee Crisp: I am saving this one for my brother. He loves all these international snack boxes and when I sent him the picture of this box, he said he wanted to for Christmas. I actually think he subscribes to a few of the international snack boxes as it is.
~Hula Hoops Salt & Vinegar: Not a bad snack! Salt and vinegar chips aren’t something I would grab at the store, but I don’t hate them. I would love to try the Cheddar and Onion flavor they offer as well!
~Nucita Barrita: Now this one is a special treat for L. After the Halloween candy is long gone (so.much.candy) I will surprise him with this!
~Bear Rice Treats: I have zero idea what the name of these really are, but I called them Bear Rice Treats. I’m not even sure if they actually are made from rice? Either way, I don’t love them.
~Kinder Country: Now I do love Kinder chocolates! Who doesn’t? I have tried this in the past and it reminds me a bit of a nestle crunch. But better.
~Twirl: I had no idea that this was the case, but according to Wikipedia, this is one of the best-selling Cadbury’s chocolate bars out there. It’s pretty much a chocolate “flake” bar with more chocolate on top.
~Furuta: I *think* this is green tea flavored, but I am afraid to try it, so I will be saving this one for my brother as well ;).
~Delicje Raspberry European Biscuits: This is totally a B item. I still can’t get into having fruit fillings in stuff, but he likes it.
~Cadbury Curly Wurly: I absolutely love these. They are chocolate and chewy and delicious. They remind me a bit of tootsie roll, but tougher.
~Gusto: I believe these are cheese flavored, but really you never know with some of these snacks. LOL!
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but I felt like the $24 price tag is very fair. I received 13 snacks which breaks down to less than $2 per item. Now some of the snacks they send I can find locally, but many I cannot which is why this is so cool.

Do you have any Asian markets near you? They usually sell the koala cookies in huge boxes there. I even managed to score some in portage county, Wisconsin. Cost Plus World Market does too!
I wonder if my Word Market in Bed, Bath & Beyond would have any???
If they don’t have them in store ask a manager if they could get them. Usually if the distributor has an item in their catalog they can and will bring them if requested.
My Ph.D. advisor loved those Delicje cookies. He used to bring them to our research group meetings all the time. I’ve had like 3 or 4 flavors of them.
I was going to say the same thing about the Koala cookies. Although I think I get Pandas in giant boxes, come to think of it…. Same thing. Weird Asian cookies full of chocolate. Check your international or Asian markets. I know the Asian market near me sells them in normal Nilla Wafer sized boxes. The international market sells them in these giant vats — seriously, like 3lbs of cookies.
I wouldn’t mind a 3lb vat of those…….
Curly Wurlys are my alltime favorit candy ever. LOVE!
If you have any British markets near you..worth checking out just for the selection of Cadbury Chocolates (my favorite is the Yorkie) and Walkers Crisps (their version of Lays Potato Chips)
