This is pretty unimpressive. I’ve been on a cancellation spree. This week I’ve cancelled Julep, Splendies, BoxyCharm and GlossyBox. I think I will be adding Sample Society to the list. The “wow factor” seems to be disappearing with many of these boxes lately. I’d rather put the money toward some slightly pricier but more interesting boxes. (Really wanted to try Little Lace Box, for example.) Thanks for posting!
I agree, I got a French box the other day and I was totally blown away, I’m missing that from most of my boxes these days.
The french box has been amazing. I realy hope they dont lose their zing.
Yes! Love the French Box! My New Year’s resolution (haha) is to subscribe to more audience/theme-specific boxes like these, and less “samples-and-stuff-for-the-masses” boxes.

I passed on this month and am hoping December will be more to my liking. I also enjoy The French Box and Little Lace Box. Great boxes.

I had to cancel last month and I was bummed at first until I seen the spoilers and was like whew good thing I cancelled. Then now again this month I never signed back up but I’m glad I didn’t now. They were great the first couple months after their re-launch but it seems they are heading backwards instead of going forward. Sad I was really enjoying this sub.
Wow, this box is sooo underwhelming. They started off so great this summer. What happened??

The first few months of the revamp were like “wow! amazing! super!” and then it was all “whomp…whomp”. It’s mind boggling, because this should be the easiest box for them to put together. Allure should have the big companies begging to be included in their editor picks. I don’t get it.
I agree though, hopefully they’ll turn it around soon.
I am right there with the rest of you all… I am giving this box one more month and then I am cancelling. The holiday box should be a good one but even if it is, I am still going to cancel and depending on what Boxycharm has the next two months, I will also be cancelling that one. I am so disappointed because these two subs should be the best ones but they have gone down hill for some reason.
Looks just okay. It is an improvement from last month for sure but I’m ready to get more actual makeup products other than mascara for the third time in four months. I would be happier with at least one full sized product!
You are right, that is a lot of mascara!
I cancelled my Ipsy box in September and signed up for this instead after seeing un-boxing’s that were really good on You Tube, with full size Restore Sea products and full size Kerastase products. It seems that I concur with the opinion that after the re-launch, everything was going so well from what I saw and now seems to be fizzling out pretty hardcore. So far, I think this is quite a mediocre box. I guess at least there are no drugstore products in there! 🙂 I will wait for December, but if the Christmas box is also underwhelming, I will most certainly be cancelling and putting my money into things I can choose for myself.
It’s unfortunate this is a disappointing box, I just signed up for Sample Society two months ago it always looked so great. Then once I get it, it’s been fairly disappointing. I’ll probably cancel this and Glossybox, tired of the super late shipping and never that excited about anything. I’ll probably end up canceling Escape Monthly too, gonna cancel a lot next month I think lol. I just signed up for Little Lace Box today and can’t wait for French box this month!
I love the French Box sofar…anyone want to trade their creamy eyeshadow? I am addicted!
