SwaagBox, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly lifestyle service designed to help you save time and money on health and beauty products. Each month you will receive your choice of supplies for your period cycle along with jewelry pieces and name brand makeup to match your needs. SwaagBox is $16/month and you can opt to double your jewelry / makeup for an additional $6/month (which is the box option I received to review) and you can also opt to receive a 4-pack of Venus razor blade refill cartridges for an additional $12/month.

The Box

SwaagBox ships via USPS and arrives at your door every 28 days.  The box was a decent size and since this was the first time I had received this box, I was anxious to see what was included.

The Information Card

The November 2014 SwaagBox (with the double makeup and jewelry option) included the following items:

~The Supplies: SwaagBox lets you pick which brand you would like to receive and shows you the quality that you will get for your selection.  They have a lot of different options and you can select either pads or tampons.

~Designer Inspires Charm Bracelet: I love these!  Super trendy (while at the same time will be able to be worn for years) right now and really cute!  Note: The $16/month box would have included just one of these.

~Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eye Shadow: I am guessing that there was a variety of shades sent out, but I kind of like the color I received.

~NYC Color Wheel: The $16/month box included two NYC Cosmetics products, while the upgraded / doubled box which is an additional $6 included 4.  The information card says it could be anything from powders to mascara and more.  The colors in the Color Wheel are quite pretty and I think it’s my favorite cosmetics item in the box.

~NYC Shadow Palette: Again, I think I got some great colors!  I will likely end up passing this along to a friend though because I can only have so much eyeshadow!

~NYC Mascara: This sounds so silly, but I really think I need to make some sort of spreadsheet on mascara.  I might have even mentioned this before.  I get so many mascaras to try I can never remember which I love and which I don’t love.  Does anyone do something similar?

~NYC Lip Plumper: This lip plumper is super glossy and I actually did think it worked.  I never really feel like lip plumpers last long enough though.

~Maybelline Color Sensational Porcelain PopSticks Lip Color: This color isn’t me at all, but I will pass it along to my SIL to use.  I

~Snacks: What time of the month box is complete without snacks?  The kids and I picked one each and left the Almond Joy for B (who actually probably would have picked that one first anyway).

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on the November SwaagBox, but I think it was well worth the $22 cost of the doubled box!

Yeah I prefer bonjour jolie. This box seems less special to me.

  2. PA Anna

    I like the bracelets.

This box doesn’t “wow” me. I’d rather choose my own drugstore makeup shades for the $.

I was a super loyal My Cotton Bunny fan until they very suddenly closed up shop. So I switched to Swaag box, and am really happy so far! I didn’t do the double makeup/jewelry, though I’m considering it for the future. The bracelets this month were so nice!
