My December 2014 Socialbliss Style Box arrived a few days ago. I hadn’t heard any spoilers about this one so I was curious to see what was inside. You really never know with this one.
If you aren’t familiar, the Style Box by Socialbliss, is a fashion, lifestyle and accessories box. Boxes contain items which may be featured on the Socialbliss site, along with others that are emerging hot items not yet available to the public. Boxes are $47.90 ($39.95 plus $7.95 shipping) and promise a monthly value of at least $100.
Socialbliss ships via USPS Priority Mail around the 20th of the month.
I couldn’t see any of the actual items, but the information booklet didn’t have me overly excited about this box. However, you never really know until you look at the items, so I tried to keep an open mind.
The December 2014 Socialbliss Style Box featured the following fierce metallic accents and a little extra sparkle:
~The Minaudière Bag ($35): B had to show me how to open this bag. LOL. I could not figure it out. The bright side is that you don’t have to worry about items falling out! The downside is that after a few drinks, I probably wouldn’t be able to get into this thing. It includes a chain so if you don’t want to use it as a clutch, you could wear it as a crossbody or a shoulder bag.
~Open Teardrop Bangle ($15): This would be cute with a little black dress or jeans and a t-shirt. I wouldn’t have bought this on my own, but it’s not a bad piece!
~Ornament Jewels Set ($20): I guess this set is supposed to have a necklace and earrings, but I don’t have any earrings? At least I don’t think I do. I guess it’s possible that they fell out of the bag and got lost in the packaging? Regardless I don’t love this necklace, so I am not too bad about not getting the earrings which I am guessing match?
~Seasonal Statement Scarf ($27): Nope! This is so not me and I so have no idea where I would wear it. The information card suggests wearing it as you would wear a necklace, but I can’t see that working for me. I’m not a fan.
~Snowflake Stencil Earrings ($18): I didn’t realize that these were supposed to be snowflakes until I read the information card. These are huge and while I could see some people being able to pull them off, I am just not one of them.
All totaled, based on the values on the information card, the December 2014 Socialbliss Style Box had a value of $115. I have liked some of their previous boxes a lot, but this box (the last few actually) just isn’t doing it for me. I could be (and probably am) behind on the trends, but I really don’t feel like this fits what’s “in” right now at all.

I’m so glad I dropped this box! I already have a great evening bag, and I never wear gold jewelry so I would have been as ticked off with this one as I was Oui Please. By the time you pay for years worth of subpar sub boxes, you could buy a car in cash.

Hmmm… And I believe that’s all I have to say about that.
I wasn’t happy with the last few boxes and dropped Social Bliss last month. I’m pleased to see it was the right decision. I would have been very disappointed with this box.

I love that necklace and scarf they both look unique.
Love the clutch and bracelet… The scarf could be nice on it’s own… can you remove that broach like thing attached to it?
No, it doesn’t like slide off. It might be sewn on?
I don’t think any of that jewelry has ever been “in,” it’s just plain ugly. And although the clutch is cute enough, it’s worthless to someone like me who NEVER uses a tiny purse.
I should try and fit my phone in it!!
I cancelled my sub after receiving this box. Yuck!
