January 2015 Austin Lloyd

WB’s January 2015 Austin Lloyd arrived this afternoon and dug right into it after he work up from his nap!

In case you aren’t familiar, Austin Lloyd, is a subscription box of educational toys for children aged 3 and under. They aim to take the guess work out of choosing toys that your child will enjoy, while also gaining skills that aide in their overall development. Each box contains 4-5 educational toys and typically at least one book.

The Box

Austin Lloyd ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two days to arrive to me. They generally arrive mid-month and are very good about communicating with subscribers if there is a delay.

Austin Lloyd has the best packaging of any of the baby / kids subscription boxes I have tried.  It always has a perfectly tied ribbon and a personalized name sticker on it.

The box included a general information card about the Play Level (we selected 2-3 years of age for WB – you can read more about them here) of the box which gives some general information on how your child is playing at this age, as well as, individual information cards (not pictured).  The January Austin Lloyd box theme was “Safari Adventures” and included the following items:

~Hape Wild Animals Peg Puzzle ($11.99): As a puzzle alone this is too easy for WB. But when you start to talk about the animals, having your little one name than and discuss where they live, it’s totally different and makes it more than just a puzzle.

~Haba Stacking Game Wigglefants ($28.49): We actually already own these, but I cannot remember where they came from?  They are super cool though and it’s always fun to see how many WB can stack up before they fall.  The set includes little cards with patterns on them too so your child can work on matching and following directions as well.

~Wonderworld Elephant Dumper ($12.79): WB went right for this one. He is way into trucks and dump trucks are the best because you can store your snacks or whatever in the back.

~Hello Monkey – A peek-a-boo adventure ($4.99): Austin Lloyd always includes a book in boxes and it’s always a great one.  This one was engaging and fit the theme perfectly.

All totaled my January 2015 Austin Lloyd box had a value of $58.26.  I am always impressed with Austin Lloyd and think that they consistently put together a great box.  The items are always very high quality and they do an amazing job with the themes every single month!
