January 2015 BarkBox

Baxter and Buddy’s January 2015 BarkBox arrived over the weekend and they couldn’t wait for me to get through my pictures so they could get playing with it all!

If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month.We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.

The Information Card

The January 2015 BarkBox theme was “Ice Age” and included the following items to help your dog unleash their inner snow dog:
~Complete Natural Nutrition Off-Leash Twigs ($8.99): Not only are these yummy treats (Baxter and Buddy approve), but they also help keep your dogs teeth clean and breathe fresh!

~Aussie Naturals Salmon Skin Training Treat Nibbles ($8): We have yet to try these, but they are on the go salmon nibs.  I have a feeling that the dogs will go crazy for these because we don’t have a lot of salmon flavored treats.

~Heartland Premium Rib ($2): This is super gross and it felt like I was touching raw meat (or something), but the dogs absolutely loved it.  Like they LOVED it.  I hope we get more of these in future BarkBox boxes.

All totaled I came up with a value of $37.99 for the January 2015 BarkBox.  We loved this box and once again thought the theme was spot on!  Great box!

We get the large dog box so we only got one toy… and it’s a squeaky toy… again. Hey Bark Box, giving dogs squeaky toys is like giving children a bullhorn LOL! I’m about to go out of my MIND! Can we have some non-squeaky toys next month please????

  2. mini2z

Okay are my dogs the only ones that destroy any toys that have fluff in them? The do love the squeekies but the blue long fish from summer is the only toy that’s not a plastic that is still alive, fuzz, squeeker and all – Barkbox please get some puppy destructo toys

You can email them and sign up for a heavy chewer option which gives you more plastic/rubber toys

We get the medium box and got the same snowman toy, but different treats and a rubber toy. I emailed them asking if we could exchange the rubber toy for a plush as Waffles won’t touch rubber toys for some reason. My furbaby has turned into a spoiled diva! ha! Aside from the one toy, this box is a winner!
