I had no clue what kind of candies this box would bring me. I knew what area they would be from, but since I have never traveled there or gotten this box before I really didn’t know what they would be like.

The Information Card

Happily Candy Adriatico includes an information card with product details.  The January 2015 theme was “Winter Time” and included the following items:

~Mini Domacica (Croatia): Without even tasting them, I can tell that these would be my favorite item from this box.  Biscuits coasted in chocolate?  Yes please!

Mini Domacica (Croatia)

~Fruit Planet Candies (Slovenia): These are very much an L item!  He said they didn’t taste like gumdrops exactly, but he couldn’t really tell me what they did taste like either.  He approves though.

Fruit Planet Candies (Slovenia)

~Fruit Planet Candies (Slovenia): Not a bad cereal bar, but I would rather have a Luna bar.

Gran Cereale (Italy)

~BACI (Italy): This is a white chocolate truffle like candy with hazelnuts.  Luckily (for me) I don’t love white chocolate or hazelnuts (I don’t hate them either though), so I wasn’t overly tempted by this.

BACI (Italy)

~Gorenjka (Slovenia): I was this close into testing this one for myself until I realized that it had raisins in the chocolate. That would have been a surprise!  It’s a thin chocolate bar with raisins and hazelnuts.  I’ll see what my brother thinks of this one.

Gorenjka (Slovenia)

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box (it’s too difficult with the foreign candy subscriptions), but it works out to just over $5 an item.  It seemed a little high to me, but them again I don’t really have anything to compare it to and I am not sure where you could get these candies around here either!
