January 2015 Citrus Lane Review
January 2015 Citrus Lane

My January 2015 Citrus Lane box arrived today! Both of them did actually. I get a box for WB who is 2.5 years old (which is the box I am reviewing right now) and another box for a 4.5 year-old boy (just a random age I selected). Citrus Lane has had a few great deals that I couldn’t resist so I ended up with a second subscription.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively!

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just under a week to arrive to me. It ships from the West Coast so it takes quite a journey to get here.

First Look

I had seen a few January Citrus Lane boxes already this month, but I never quite know what I am going to receive until it arrives. Citrus Lane has different boxes based on age group and age group cut-offs always vary.

The Information Card

The January 2015 Citrus Lane box includes the following goodies:

~Beginner Puzzle Set from Petit Collage ($14): We have a few puzzles from Petit Collage, but not the construction one.  Considering WB’s love for trucks, this will be awesome.  He’s super into puzzles and these are easy enough for him to do, but still difficult enough to make him think.

~Cuppies from JJ Rabbit ($8.99): This was our customizable item this month.  I read the choices to WB and he selected Frog, so frog we got!  He drinks out of a cup, handles or no-handles, perfectly fine, it’s the randomly knocking it over that he doesn’t get.  We’ll work on that ;).

~Eco-Dough from Eco-Kids ($8): I love Eco-Dough! It’s like play-dough, but made with all natural ingredients.  I know exactly what we are doing after nap time!

~Kids Complete Vitamins from Smarty Pants (~$1): I’ll never be able to talk WB into trying these, but I know L will like them.  And I have actually tried them myself in the past and they are really good.

~60% Off Fabletics Offer: Typically the first offer from Fabletics is 50% off, but this is a better deal so I wanted to share.  I get Fabletics monthly and if you are curious what their clothes are like, you can check out my reviews here.

All totaled I came up with a value of $31.99 for my January 2015 Citrus Lane box.  It’s just slightly over the full price of the box, but since I have a longer subscription which I paid for in advance, it works out to less than $20/month.  This wasn’t a “wow” box, but we will start using everything in here within a few days, so it’s a total win!

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “BEMINE” to get 35% off your first box PLUS score a free Valentine’s Day Bonus Box (a $27 value)! This deal expires on 1.16.15, so make you you get signed up while it lasts. You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s an amazing way to try them out!
