January 2015 Good Habit Box

Good Habit Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers monthly boxes of tasty, healthy snacks designed for your day. Each box contains 3 delicious oatmeal packs, 3 nuts & seed mix snacks snacks and 10 tea bags. Good Habit Box also offers a “Fitness” box which is $21.99/month and includes 3 Oatmeal packs, 3 Nut Blends and 3 Protein shakes.

The Box

Good Habit Box ships via USPS.  Boxes ship every four weeks and you can also opt to receive deliveries every two weeks if you choose.

First Look

Everything arrived neatly packed and looked great.  Like most everyone else, one of my goals this year is to eat better, so I was excited about this one.

The Nutrition Card

The information card includes a little about the items in the box and also full Nutrition Facts on all of the items inside.  It also notes “Best By” dates.  All of the food items have “Best By” dates of 3/31/15, while the teas have Best By dates of 6/30/15.

~Rise & Shine Oatmeal: The box includes two single serving packers of oatmeal in different flavors (Apple Walnut, Forrest Berry and Cinnamon).  I still don’t love oatmeal, but with peanut butter on top?  Well, I can handle that.  Everything is better with a little PB!

~Premium Black Tea (Celebration): Now these are going to have to be a B item.  Oatmeal I am okay with.  But I still cannot do tea!  If you aren’t a tea fan, for sure opt for the box with the protein shakes instead.

~Flavorful Blend of Nuts & Seeds – Afternoon Boost: For your afternoon snack, the box includes individual portions of nuts and seeds.  The flavors are Lemon-Lime Pistachios, Cashews & Dates and Au Naturale.  I will keep the plain ones for me and give the other ones to B.

Since the items are Good Habit branded I cannot do a cost breakdown on this box.  But I think it’s fair to say that the value is in this box is more of the convenience it provides than it being a value dollar wise.
